At dinner Monday night, Jenna asked, "Should I call Dawn and Clay or wait to see it they call us?"

Dan put his arm around her and pulled her into him as Clay said, "I'll pretty much say the same thing as Dawn said. If needed I'll go on bended knee and apologize to both of you. I'll say that we've learned that one of the parties involved was very determined to get their way. Then we learned that another one was very persuasive and controlling. We know more about that, but it wouldn't be appropriate for us to get into that. Suffice to say that Jenna is quickly putting all of that together and somebody else that we know is going to be in need of all of our help and support one day and we need to be there for her. Clay, I too have some wonderful memories to hold onto, and like Dan said to Dawn, you are right in the middle of those memories. I'm so sorry it took us so long to put the pieces together and learn the truth. But tonight starts a new phase in our lives. Let's do everything we can to enjoy our times together and never cause the need for apologies again."
