Odd bits, if you're interested.
Damped is an odd choice, but apparently an acceptable one. A regionalism? I've usually seen the word 'dampened' instead.
"She died or she never stopped." Perhaps more clearly rendered as, "She died or she never would have stopped."
And who was clapping at the fountain scene?
