Harvard scrubbed his hand on the kid's head. "Yeah, knock yourself out."
As Bradly ran upstairs, Harvard watched him go, and then stared at the stairs. Suddenly he regretted not taking the soldier's quarters. He paid the extra fee to get his own house, and he didn't know a thing about it. Now his son was calling a woman he barely knew, "Momma". He scrubbed his hands over his face. He was going to have to make a trip to Elunara's house tomorrow.

great comment about parents and children. the world would be a better place if parents understood their children or any for that matter like elunara does. keep up the good work and hope those who read it realize and understand a minimum of the gem they're reading.
