"Well, yeah. I mean... house rule number... I've lost track, is that you never take an unwilling partner. If you want to wait for marriage, that's fine on me."
She just blinked at him. "House rules?
"Yeah, they're posted in the library, I can show you."
"I... um... I guess I should read them, but can I do it tomorrow?"
"Yeah, sure." He grinned. "What did you have in mind for the moment?"
"Well, I really did enjoy kissing you." She clamped a hand to her mouth. "OhmygodsIcantbelieveIsaidthat." She mumbled.
"I can't kiss you with your hand in the way." He chuckled.
"Bradly... what are we doing here?" Evelyn picked at her dress. "I mean, really. Are we...?"
"I thought we were dating, and I'm pretty sure we just kicked that up a notch."
"And you... love me?"
"That I do." Bradly took her hand. "And I hope you can love me." Kissing the back of it, he smiled. "I'm horribly flawed, still trying to figure out how this love thing works, and I have a strange relationship with my brother and his wife. If you want me to drop the connection to Lydia, I just might do it. I mean, she did marry my brother, and I'm just accepting the handouts."
"I don't know what that means."
Raking his hand through his hair, he sighed. "It means I'm still having sex with her when she wants me. Often, I join in as a third party to help the both of them have kinky sex. It's... a little difficult to explain to new people."
"Oh." After fidgeting for a moment, she bit her lip. "I wouldn't want to make you stop."
"Hey, I might stop on my own, like Darguni did. He was boffing every chick in a five mile radius, and then he fell pretty hard for Lydia, and he hasn't touched another female since."
"Wow."
"Love does funny things. But the absolute, number one rule... is complete honesty. You HAVE to tell me if it bothers you, or if anything bothers you at all. We can't fix what we don't know about. In fact, that brings up another point. You have to tell me if anyone in the family does something you don't like. In fact, you can tell them, we're all pretty open people."
"Oh, this is all so much to take in."
"We got all night, and probably the rest of our lives to talk about this stuff." He winked.
"Well, I don't think I have a problem with... You and Lydia. I mean, I didn't in the first place, but if we really are dating... then no. I don't have a problem, because Lydia's been so sweet to me, even knowing full well I only approached her because you told me to."
"Lydia has a wisdom in her that I can't explain. I know that she adores you. She's already fussed at me for being indecisive. I think she's the only person in this world who might care about your welfare more than I do, and I'm in love with you." He chuckled.
