Sky didn't know what to think, but she could only really focus on one thing.

Finn's denial joined Mark's, both of them trying to reassure her. In the end Finn settled for nuzzling at her neck while Mark went with words.
"You are not a freak. You are Were and wolf and you have a mate and a pack. You are as much one of us as anyone here. You may not know your birth family, but you have found your family now and they will be there for you. Finn will be there for you for the rest of your lives. If you are a freak then so is he, and so am I. Do not start to believe what you were told by those who hunt our kind."
"They knew what I was."
"No," Finn replied. "I know you, as my mate, my love and my family, they knew nothing except what they beat out of you. You are beautiful, both as woman and as wolf, and one of the strongest people I have ever met. I am proud to be yours and to have you as mine."
