Fucking a Friend Pt. 17: The End

byJack94©

We talked, after work, for about 30 minutes and asked me if I was available for coffee sometime. As I didn't really know her or anyone in the store yet, I politely declined and she just shrugged and said "can't blame a gal for trying."

No. No, you certainly can't. Especially when said woman was a ginger with blue eyes and could turn a head on a dime. I thought about what could have been and snapped back to reality when James called me.

Everyone was meeting up at Sinead's and that he would be picking us up at 6. I told him I was just leaving now and since it would take me an hour to get home, just go on and I would meet everyone there.

I pulled up to my house. I saw my wife, Alicia, and Alyssa sitting on my steps. I asked then what they were doing and they said waiting for me. Alyssa joked that she didn't be in the same car with James as he drove. Olivia said it made no sense for them to drive 2 cars to Sinead's when I would be taking a 3rd.

I couldn't fault their thinking but thanked them, nonetheless, for waiting.

Driving into the Old Town, we met up with everyone just outside an old pub.

Introducing everyone who hasn't already met, I felt like we were like the gaggle of rebels who were huddled around listening General Nadine, Admiral Ackbar, and Mon Mothma crying about the many Bothan spies that died getting information about the 2nd Death Star.

Once the ghost walk began, I immediately felt like we were reenacting the end credits to Buckaroo Banzai. Conveniently, that theme was my ring tone and I qued it up.

We learned some cool things. Chiefly that nearly all of the downtown area dated back to early colonial times and was haunted. Jillian and I had purposely stayed separated for the evening. My group of Avengers consisted of James, my wife, Sinead, Bruce, Steve, two of my wife's friends, and a coworker of James and Sinead. Everyone else was put into the West Coast Avengers.

As we left our second church of the walk, I had to use the rest room and no the water didn't boil when I used the stall. Now had I dipped my finger into the bowl at the entrance of the church, well, that might be a different story.

I exited the church and looked around. The entire crowd had moved forward.

Except Jillian.

"Figured I would stay back so we can talk." She smiled.

We met halfway and we hugged. For the first time in a week. She told me that her skin was itching and not seeing me every day wasn't really working for her. It wasn't for me either.

Not wanting to rejoin the flock quite yet, we took a walk into the cemetery next to the churchyard and took the opportunity to catch up.

She sqooze my hand in hers and I leaned into her, placing a kiss on her head. She admitted last weekend was weird and that Olivia continued to act out of sorts with her as well.

It does happen when a wife gets drunk enough to make out with her husband's best friend, regardless of whether its a man or woman. Well, making out with was a loose term. Jillian had made my wife cum. The thought did turn me on,

nonetheless..

We toyed around with the idea of fucking in the graveyard but there were too many passerbys. I told her that if she was serious, it could be revisited at another time. She laughed, kissed me on the lips, and leaned against my cheek and told me "that is why I fucking love you".

She stole a ghord from the churchyard and I told her that she was going to burn in hell for that. Pointblank she looked at me and said "this is coming from the friend of a guy who stole change from the Rum Keg Girl?"

"I didn't take the money," trying to defend myself, "that was James."

"You didn't do anything," she chastised me, "that's just as bad."

Still, that had no bearing on her taking a baby pumpkin. She pouted and I couldn't fight anymore with her. She could have dug out my heart and I would have let her.

We took our sweet time but caught up with the group by turning left when we meant to turn right.

Alicia caught us holding hands and winked, almost knowingly. Jillian and I rejoined our groups, staying within them until the end of the tour. Olivia was a little more possessive of me the rest of the evening, clutching onto me the moment I was within arm's reach. As we ate at the pub, there was some definite tension between Jillian and my wife. It wasn't an angry sort but rather an uncomfortable kind.

The night wound up and we all hugged our goodbyes. The moment we pulled up to our house and had the house to ourselves, my wife jumped me in a way that she hasn't done since we were still newlyweds.

She opened the drawer to her nightstand, pulled out her lube and asked who had been using it. I laughed, telling her that it must have been James and Sinead from the previous weekend, although I knew that it was Jillian and I from our weekend together.

Fast forward a few days and I had to admit that not working with Jillian was taking some getting used to. After all, working with someone for two years and hanging out with them outside of work, took a lot of adjustment. Add a sexual relationship to that and well, yeah, it sucked.

We had kept in touch, as we normally did, phone calls and texts were sent throughout the day. Turns out she was having to train my replacement, instead of her just getting the bump in pay. She was disgruntled about that and also the way this new person alienated a lot of the team. I told Jillian it would get better as everyone adapted.

She had also told me that I was I was Invited over to Alicia's, Jillian's sisters, house for dinner. Caught off guard by a Tuesday night dinner invitation, I called Olivia and since she had to close, told me to go by myself and have some fun.

So I decided I would.

I arrived at Alicia's house around 4 pm and enjoyed a leisurely game of monopoly before dinner was prepared.

The dinner itself was delicious.

Afterwards, Jillian said that she felt like a walk and asked if anyone wanted to join her. I didn't know if that was code or not but since we weren't working together anymore, I decided to go along for some conversation and spend time with her. Alyssa contemplated but decided to watch tv instead.

As we hit the bricks, we turned right and up the road to where the cul de sac had not been finished and off the street about 20 yards was a cute trail.

We walked down the dual sided evergreen tree 'fence' before following the path to the right. Once out of the sight of any possible onlookers, Jillian lunged into my arms and began to kiss me. I kissed back and as our bodies began to lean to the ground, we parted and got ourselves upright again.

Absence had indeed made the heart fonder. Although, in this case, it wasn't exactly the heart. We walked along the trail, talking about it, the cute little brook we came upon, and she asked me how I was enjoying my promotion. She missed my face every day but she was happy for me.

We talked about how things were at the old store and it was taking a lot of adaptation from the ol+d gang to their new manager. A manager everyone felt should have been me. I was quick to point out that I wouldn't be an objective and efficient manager. I knew too many people, some more intimately than others, but knew them nonetheless.

Jillian, blushed a little, smiling and slapped me on the arm, "I fucking hate you, mother fucker! I have feelings and shit now."

"The plus side is sex," I reminded her, "not a bad deal."

"And damn good sex," she cackled, "which makes me hate you more ass hat."

We talked, played, and teased each other as both friends and lovers do. Lingering embraces here, kissing there, and other times sliding back into the role of friend quite naturally. About an hour had gone by and we turned back towards the house. The walk didn't relieve sexual energy but it was nice to be with her again. Alone. At least.

Jillian, Alyssa, and I moved upstairs to the den and began watching tv. I came downstairs to get drinks for everyone, a while later, and came upon her sister, sitting on a bar stool and drinking a glass of wine. She said hi to me, then proceeded to make small talk.

Then she hit me with the question. "How long had we (meaning Jillian and I) been going on?"

I tried to play it off, rather awkwardly, at best and wonder what she was referring to. She chuckled and said she wasn't going to judge. After all, she had slept with a married man before she got married, so it was a case of stones and glass houses.

Jillian had always talked about me a lot. Sometime, at the beginning of summer, whenever my name was brought up, there was a particular brightness to her face and she came alive. Alicia had noticed other changes in her sister. The final clue were the stolen glances we shared and while I had a stoic poker face, Jillian's wasn't so much. She thanked me for being there for her sister and appreciating what I had done for her.

I went back upstairs and as I gave everyone their drink, Jillian shot me a curious glance and asked me what took so long. My response was that I was talking to her sister. Alicia had thanked me for all I had done.

Jillian nodded and said that I was a pretty incredible guy. I said thanks but reiterated, "she thanked me for everything I have done." With wide expressive eyes I jostled my head, exaggeratedly, hoping she took my meaning.

Her eyes slowly got wide, very much the sloth working the DMV in Zootopia. Her jaw gaped open and then she excused herself, shutting the door to the den as she flew down the stairs as though the devil, himself, was on her heels.

Alyssa turned to me and I shrugged. "No freaking idea" I lied and sat down, asking her what I missed.

Jillian came back ten or so minutes later and I could tell she was pissed. Instead of sitting on the other side of the couch from me, she sat next to and leaned into me.

"Hold me God damn it." It was all she said. I did, asking her what was wrong. Alyssa was quite curious as to what happened. It wasn't so much that her mother had returned and asked me to hold her. The embrace wasn't anything she hasn't seen us do before. A lot less often in front of her because of our paranoia concerning our sexual relationship being found out.

"Whatever it is," Alyssa joked, "it must be bad if mom needed Mr. John"

Jillian looked at her daughter with a lot of anger in her eyes. Words were about to be spoken. I stepped in. I told Alyssa that her mom was obviously upset and to give her some time to cool down. I added that I would go too.

Jillian poked me in the chest, "you," she cursed, "aren't going anywhere, not just yet."

"Oh shit." Alyssa's eyes widened, realizing the gravity of the situation and taking her leave of the room and sliding down the stairs. When we heard the tv pop on, Jillian stood, closed the door, and stood in front of me.

"My entire fucking family knows." Jillian's body trembled in anger as she shook her head in disgust, "They knew back in April that something had happened. That things had changed."

"How?" I asked, curious because outside of Sinead, no one else in our lives knew about our affair.

Apparently, like Alicia had told me, Jillian had a particular glow about her when talking about me. The two siblings knew for sure by the middle of June. Her parents had begun to figure it out at the start of the school year.

None of them had discussed it with each other until the weekend she had spent with me, not that anyone except Steve knew that she was with me. They, meaning the siblings, had decided that no one would talk about it either. Jillian deserved some happiness in her life and if an affair with me would give her that, they weren't going to rock the boat.

Her parents, on the other hand, not fully knowing that there was an affair had already spoken at length to the siblings about us. They were still in the dark but were preparing a speech for Jillian with their concerns. A speech that Jillian didn't want to hear because she was, as she put it, a grown ass woman. The other part of it was both Steve and Alicia going to great lengths to assist Jillian keeping the facade.

The conversation was tense. She used her vocal chords to express herself and I was there to act as both Wilson and Cuddy to her Gregory House. About 20 minutes in, she began to cry quite uncontrollably. I held her in my arms as we stood in the center of the room. I kissed her forehead and asked her what I needed to do.

She held onto me and said simply, "just be exactly who you have been."

I don't know how long we stood there, holding each other, but Alicia knocked on the door and asked if everything was ok. Jillian ignored her, I nodded. Alicia asked to speak with Jillian and I turned to leave.

"I think I should go home," was all I said, closing the door behind me and walking down the steps. I told Alyssa I was leaving and she ran up to me and gave me the kind of hug one gives when they think they'll never see you again.

That made me think about everything during the car ride home. I showered then settled into bed, all before the wife got home, and had drifted off to sleep with my mind focusing on the events of the evening.

The next two weeks were largely quiet, as far as sex with Jillian was concerned. We texted and called each other every day. There was a lot of flirting and even some phone play, but it was more teasing than anything else. Speaking of teasing, she picked a day that I was in meetings to send me some nude pics and sext me. Not that I minded, I really didn't. It was just the timing was wrong. Very wrong.

The time between the 18th and Halloween saw some significant changes., though. Jillian got the job at Lowes. When she turned in her notice, she was informed that she could leave immediately and would be rehirable in the future. It was a win-win for both parties.

Work was turning out to be not quite what I thought it would be. Getting to know my new team better was, interesting, to say the least. None of them were as talented as Jillian, from a professional standpoint, but each of them had their niche and I had done what I could to utilize them. I had found my groove, though, gotten the ball rolling and had the team ready for the chaos that would be the second half of October and beyond. In all honesty, I didn't have to do much as I inherited a talented team. It was just getting their energy redirected and familiar with me.

The sales floor was another story all together. I had gotten to know two associates from the home store well enough, so my circle was slowly growing.

Billy was a 28 year old disabled army vet, who lost part of his right hand in Afghanistan. Natasha was a 24 year old part time college student that was forging her own way through life having won her independence from her parents at the age of 16.

I didn't pry. At least not then. After all, I only had room for one damaged woman in my life and Jillian held that spot.

Evelyn from shoes had continued to grow on me. We had eaten lunch in the break room a few times, unintentionally, it just happened that her scheduled lunch intersected with mine. She was pretty cool, not many people I know are old school Whovians.

Olivia had decided that a girl's night out was needed. Theresa, Sinead, Jillian, and some other girls from work would be going with her. I asked my wife to include Jillian since they hadn't been talking much and it could do nothing but help their friendship. Olivia was still completely unaware that I knew what had actually happened between them.

As our women were having a night out, I suggested James come over to Wilmington. We could check out downtown and hit up the Paddy's Pub in the basement of some old building that housed some shops and eateries.

On a whim and perhaps seeking a female to join us, I invited Evelyn. I introduced her to James and the three of us hit it off. Seems we had found a new member of the Avengers. She and I ordered some Smithwycks while James just took some rum.

I got a few texts from Olivia and Jillian. They seemed like they were having a good time. Jillian made sure to tell me that they had been getting along but she was growing restless. James got a text around 10 from Sinead saying that she was plenty liquored up and horny. He took his leave. Evelyn and I lingered a few more minutes before we paid our tab and I walked her to her car.

She thanked me for inviting her and for the conversation. Those damn blue eyes, though, looked at me and I heard her say "This is probably totally inappropriate, both because you are married and on my management team," she took a step into me, "and it's probably the 3 drinks, but thank you."

She kissed me on my cheek. My eyes grew wide. I wasn't expecting that. "See you at work," I smiled as she lingered against me, "thank you for coming. Lets do this again."

She slipped back into place and placed her hand on the door, swung around and sat down in her Honda, all the while smiling and I swore I saw her licking her lips. "We really should. Have a great night."

"You too". I watched her drive off as wondered what the hell did I get myself into. Maybe I was overreacting, then my phone rang. Jillian.

We talked about how our nights were going and I told her that I was coming back into town. She had slipped into the conversation where the others were and I was welcome to join them. I declined and instead told her that I was going to check out the night life in Wilmington.

She said that it sounded like fun and asked if I wanted company. Having thought back to Evelyn not even five minutes earlier, I told her sure but it was an hour away. She cackled and told me that sometimes the laws of physics weren't absolute. That's when I heard a car honk and I turned around.

Jillian.

I walked over to the car and she rolled down the window, "how did you find me?"

"James told Sinead where you were." She winked, "I left the gals, because it just wasn't my scene. I saw a chance to hang out with you, so I took it." She looked beyond me then said, "who was the girl?"

I shot her a quizzing look, "exactly how long have you been here?"

"Long enough," she replied, a wry smile etching her face, "surprised you didn't go home with her. She's hot. I would have."

I shook my head, "that's not saying alot."

She mocked a cough, "Excuse me," she flicked me off, "says the man I have been pity fucking for months."

"So that's why?" I nodded and shrugged, "makes sense.", then I looked at her with wide eyes and a stern voice, "pity fuck?"

"Yeah, it's a pity I didn't fuck you sooner, ass hat." She laughed and then I felt the car shift, "are we just going to talk or what?"

"Or what." I answered, taking a step back from the car as allowed her to park.

She skipped to me and practically jumped into my arms, wrapped hers around my neck and we began to kiss.

"You need to tell the ginger paws off," she licked my lips an pressed herself to the side of my neck, teasing me, "I don't share my married men with more than their wives."

We both shared a good laugh before I lowered her back down to Earth.

Jillian had a few things already figured out. Although James had left Wilmington to be with Sinead, I was still out. Olivia and the gang left the bar to go to a night club/strip bar. We both knew that they would be out. As my house was too far a drive and one of the girls lived a mile from the club, it was assumed that everyone would crash there until the morning. That meant Jillian and I had all night to ourselves.

I extended my hand and with a wink said with a scottish accent, "what's your name."

"Rose. Rose Tyler" she answered

"Well, Rose Tyler," I smiled, "Pleased to meet you."

"Now RUN!" I snatched her hand and we ran off into the middle of Wilmington night life. Our first stop, a Blues bar. We had a few shots and spent an hour listening to a local group. They weren't half bad and I wish I could remember their name because I would have given them a cheap plug. Sorry guys.
