Because Gaia's power is infinite, they had an unlimited supply of it at their disposal. I believe that either the church she was a part of, or someone close to her, put those runes on her," Phalmina guessed.

"You think her husband would have known about it? Going by Amy's and Eva's descriptions of him, he would be the type to know something about it," Jason surmised.

"I agree. Xaera, we should get going and fetch both Emalia and Daelina. We will need their help and their magic to help determine what exactly is going on with Eva," Phalmina stated.

"All right," Xaera stated as they stood up to leave.

"Will it be OK for Daelina and Emalia to travel in the city? What of the grove?" Jason asked.

"The girls will be OK to travel through the city. I asked Elizabeth to buy them both a human dress that would fit. As for the grove, it can mind itself for a while, now that its power has been restored," Phalmina explained.

"We won't be long. We'll be through the portal and back, so we should get here while daylight is still burning," Xaera said, putting Jason's mind at ease.
