"Tom, always a pleasure," Sawyer said taking the hand firmly. "Monica is expecting me."
"Of course, have a seat and I'll let her know you're here. Care for some coffee?"
Sawyer declined, taking a seat. He only had to wait a few minutes before a statuesque platinum blonde emerged from the only door. She was tall and dressed in a pair of dark gray slacks with a matching vest covering a pink button up blouse. The vest was cut snuggly to enhance her abundant breasts. She had that girl next door aura about her but carried herself like Marilyn Monroe. She was in her mid-fifties but she looked like she was in her late thirties.
Sawyer stood and took her offered hand. "Good afternoon Mr Sawyer, I hope we are able to find something suitable."
"Me too Monica, and please call me Michael."
She smiled a dazzling smile, "very well Michael." Pointing to his seat, she sat next to him opening a folder she had been carrying. She showed him several listings and where they were on a map of the area. She described each one in order that they were on the map. After she finished her monologue, Monica gave him a brilliant smile and led him out of the office and to her comfortable Lincoln Continental.
They spent several hours driving from several properties in her folder. Each was spectacular in its own way, but none seemed right to Sawyer. Monica had surprised him. She had memorized the facts about the houses she showed him, telling him when it was built, what it was built from all the facts he could want. They were coming up to one of the last houses on her list before calling it a day.
Monica was telling him about the two more houses they could look at tomorrow if he was available as she pulled the Continental off the road towards a stone archway with "La Casa Del La Luna" spelled out in metal lettering and wrought iron gate. She stopped at a small touch screen interface imbedded in the stone.
"The code can be changed to suit you," she said tapping the code into the touch screen. The wrought iron gate swung inward on stout hinges. "The keypad and the gate mechanism are solar powered with a battery backup," she said easing the large car between the gates. The long driveway was lined with tall trimmed oaks. "This is a nine thousand square foot two story Mediterranean style home. There are seven bedrooms, each with its own en suite and walk-in closet. There is a formal dining room, a formal living room, a family room, a gourmet kitchen, dedicated media room, a library that can converted to an office, a five car garage, a pool and a separate guest house that's a comfortable two bed two bath. There is a barn with stalls for ten horses. All on a thousand acres, two hundred of untouched woodlands, the rest is pastures."
Monica was still going over the facts of the house as it came into view. It was tan with terra cotta colored barrel-style tile roof. There was a fountain centered in the wide circular driveway.
"I'll take it." he said as she stopped the car.
