"Who's Sam?" Gypsy asked glancing between the two men noticing for the first time the similarities between the two as she tossed her drink back shuttering when the burning liquid slammed into her empty stomach.

"Sam as Caydn insists on calling her is Samantha my mate or wife if you'd prefer," Micah explained, "We went by the estate, Phillip told me that you were here so I thought I'd come and see you while Samantha and Jazleen visited with Sophie," he explained, "I now know why when I asked Phillip if he'd like to join me he declined the invitation," he laughed seeing the exasperated expression on Caydn's face and saw Gypsy roll her eyes.

Gypsy felt Caydn's eyes on her as she looked at both of them, the wide shoulders and heavily muscled chests that tapered down to trim waists and long legs. Micah looked as if his hair would be possibly as long as Caydn's if it weren't pulled back, but where as Caydn's eyes were dark and brooding, the deep brown that only slightly evident from time to time, Micah's eyes sparkled with laughter the brown a deep dark chocolate color.

Glancing at Caydn she shrugged her shoulders pouring herself another drink and immediately tossing it back grimacing when the breath taking liquor burned her throat.

"I think your woman finds me much easier on the eyes than she does you brother dear," Micah chuckled evilly enjoying the fury he saw flash in Caydn's eyes before he winked at Gypsy.

"Don't be so sure of your self," she said with a wave of her hand turning her back on both men setting her glass on the counter. "I think I'm going to head back to the house since you have company to occupy you Caydn," she said swaying slightly when she stepped away from the counter grabbing the stool standing beside her.

"Gypsy you're not going anywhere tonight," Caydn said slowly reaching for her arm steadying her, meeting her eyes seeing the flash of panic that passed over her face. "You're welcome to my room and since I'm going to be busy entertaining Micah you can be assured of not being disturbed," he said softly reassuring her.

"I'm not going to impose," she said shaking her head, "Just tell me where the nearest hotel is or call me a cab, I can have the driver direct me to the nearest place," she said refusing to look at Micah who laughed loudly.

"Gypsy dear I think I'd be safe in saying that Caydn and I both know that we'd be endangering ourselves and the peace in our lives if we allowed you to wander the city on your own," he said nodding when she turned to look at him questioningly. "Sophie, Jazleen and even my Samantha would have our hides if we left a young innocent woman such as you to the hidden dangers of the city."

With a sigh she stepped away from the counter, intending to find her own cab then a hotel for the night knowing she wasn't about the drive with the floor already feeling as if it were moving under her feet. Giggling she covered her mouth looking up at Caydn when she stumbled.

Shaking his head he reached out quickly scooping her into his arms seeing the shocked expression on Micah's face when she dropped her blocks and her thoughts bombarded them both.

"It's settled your going to bed and your going to stay there and sleep this off," he said firmly, "tell Micah good night Gypsy," he said turning her until she could see his brother leaning against the same love seat she'd been sitting on earlier.

Micah shook his head trying not to laugh at the thoughts that ran through her mind and the low growl he heard mentally from his brother.

"Good night Gypsy, it was truly my pleasure to meet you," he said reaching out to take her hand lifting it to his lips in a fleeting kiss.

"Gypsy, stop thinking," Caydn groaned when he saw Micah's lips turning up in a smile when they both heard her thoughts on the matter.

Resting her head on his shoulder she wrapped her arms around his neck, "I'm sorry Caydn I forgot that if he's your brother then he'd also hear my thoughts," she giggled, "Micah I'm sorry for being rude and wishing you hadn't come to visit but things were just getting interesting when you showed up," she said with a sigh.

Caydn pushed open his bedroom door, kicking it closed behind him to close out the sound of Micah's laughter. Walking to the edge of the bed he fought the urge to drop her on the large bed and walk out of the room.

Lowering her legs he ground his teeth together when her body slid slowly and seductively along the length of his own. Closing his eyes he refused to meet hers when her arms remained around his neck, her breath brushing against the skin at the opening of his shirt.

"Gypsy would you please just get in bed, get some sleep, and let me go deal with Micah and see what he and Sam are doing in town?" he asked his voice strained trying to push her thoughts from his mind while she was clearly enjoying the feel of his body pressing against hers.

"Caydn do you have something I could wear other than this heavy sweater?" she asked stepping back from him, suddenly sitting on the bed when she backed against it, "There's no way I could sleep in this," she said reaching down and tugging the sweater over her head.

Turning on his heel he spun away from her, stalking to his closest grabbing a silk pajama shirt that went with the silk pants he wore many times. Walking back into the bed room he glanced at her while she struggled with the zipper on her jeans, groaning when he hear Micah's laugh from the other room.

"For god's sake woman wear this and get your ass in bed and get some sleep," he said tossing the shirt on the bed beside her, turning and walking from the room, closing the door firmly behind him.

Leaning against the door he didn't even have to look up to know Micah was watching him closely a smile flashing across his handsome face.

"It looks like you've gotten yourself in a hell of a predicament," Micah chuckled seeing Caydn run his hand through his hair roughly pushing it back after Gypsy had taken it down earlier, burying her hands in it.

"You don't even know the half of it," he muttered walking over joining his brother at the make shift bar, "that is unless Phillip and Jaz have been kind enough to give full details to Sam and she's passed them on to you instead of them sitting around gossiping about mundane things," he grumbled pouring himself a drink.

"Sophie's relieved to know that she'll be staying instead of driving back after drinking," he said with a sheepish smile. "Jazleen told me a quick summary of what had been going on during the drive, since I've been here I've learned most of it," he said gently.

"I guess it's a blessing in disguise Christian was who'd accompanied Phillip and Jazleen," he said glancing at Caydn seeing him nod his agreement.

"I hope things go as Christian wants them to, and when Megan wakes she isn't out to kill him for what he's done," he said with a deep sigh, "There wasn't much time to consider other options and Christian wasn't open to any other reasoning."

Micah swirled the liquor around in his glass, "I knew the instant I met Samantha she was mine, granted some times I still have to convince her, but for me it was always evident," he explained looking up to meet Caydn's eyes.

"I'm wondering when you're going to see what's right in front of your face or should I say what's between your sheets right now," he chuckled seeing Caydn frown and glare at him.

"Just because she's got amazing skills and abilities doesn't mean she's for me," he said tossing his drink back wishing he could as easily feel the mind numbing effects of the alcohol as Gypsy did.

"She's innocent and I think she's attracted because for the first time she's testing her flirting skills, I'm the only target at the house other than her uncle or the stone faced Phillip," he explained quietly his words sounding as if he was trying to convince himself of the reasoning more than Micah.

"Well there's Christian and I'm sure he would've been a willing participant before Megan's accident," he chuckled seeing the glare Caydn flashed his way before stalking to the large bank of windows looking out over the sleeping city.

"Christian always did know when not to push my buttons where as you've never been that intelligent," he said his voice a low growl, "now explain to me why you and Sam have decided to drop in so suddenly?"

Caydn pushed back from his desk in his office, the one room other than his private chamber that wasn't a total shambles during the construction process.

"I'm going to the house before it gets any later to of course rest with Samantha," Micah said, standing up watching Caydn closely. "Hopefully Gypsy will sleep most of the day away if those circles under her eyes are any indication of the stress and exhaustion she's been under the past few days," he said gently.

Caydn nodded his head, "The four or five double shots of Bourbon she took are going to be a great help also," he chuckled, "let Sophie know I'll make sure Gypsy gets back home this evening and not to worry."

******************************

Standing at the window after Micah left, he saw the deep darkness that slipped over the sky before dawn. Looking around the room he shook his head, he'd never been one to tolerate disorganization and the apartment set his teeth on edge, later that evening he'd call the contractor back and arrange for them to finish the job once he'd gone back to the estate.

After closing the large drapes even thought the glass was specially made and would keep the dangerous rays of sun from coming into the apartment he opened the bedroom door quietly. He noticed she'd left the bathroom light on after she'd changed. Closing the door behind him silently, he saw her lying on her side in the center of the bed, her legs uncovered other than where the sheets wrapped around her as if trying to keep her within their grasp.

Walking into the bathroom he took a deep breath before changing into the silk pants that matched the shirt she was wearing. Turning the light off he ground his teeth together, fighting the heat and desire that rose in him when he moved closer to the bed.

Many days he'd thought of what it would feel like to have her lying beside him after the centuries of going to sleep and waking alone. Pushing her mental chatter from his mind he'd force himself to sleep as the only means of escaping her thoughts when they'd drift in and out of his own mind.

Lying down as gently as possible he stared at the ceiling, every nerve ending in his body on alert feeling her heat beside him, her breathing and pulse thundering in his ears while she slept.

He knew he'd not be able to sleep the deep restful sleep he normally did because he didn't want her to wake beside him and panic, he'd tolerate sleeping lightly so if she needed him he'd be alert quickly. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath thankful she was in a deep rhythm of sleep and her thoughts were quiet for the night.

She untangled the sheets from around her legs, rolling over toward the warmth she felt radiating beside her. Brushing her hair back from her face, rubbing her nose where her hair had tickled it she curled against the firm warmth with a heavy sigh.

Caydn was instantly awake when she'd first stretched, her legs crossing over his at the ankle before she'd tugged at the sheets and rolled toward him. He fought to not laugh at the expression on her face when her hair brushed against the slightly upturned nose.

His jaw clenched when she moved her head resting it on his arm, her hand wrapping around his wrist while she snuggled against him appearing to be getting more comfortable. Brushing his hair back from his face he took silent breaths to calm the raging heat threatening to erupt inside his body at her innocent touch.

"I don't ever want to hear about how loud you think my thoughts are when you've woke me twice," she whispered, her breath caressing the upper muscle along his arm she held.

"How long have you've been awake Gypsy?" he laughed softly.

"I think it was that evil chuckle in your head when my hair tickled my nose," she said with a sleepy sigh, tilting her head back slowly to look at him.

"You said I'd woke you twice when was the other time?" he asked moving his other arm behind his head so he could look down meeting her eyes in the darkness.

She shrugged her shoulders slightly, "not sure I think it's when you were annoyed I was sleeping or you thought sleeping so well you couldn't hear me," she said stifling a yawn. "Ahh," she cringed, "my head hurts you wouldn't happen to have aspirin would you?" she asked covering her eyes with her hand.

He grinned knowing her head was going to hurt from all the liquor she'd tossed back. "In the bathroom in the medicine cabinet I think," he said gently, "Sophie sometimes comes and spends the day here helping me keep this place in order and she stocked everything."

Rolling away from him she climbed from the large bed, walked quietly into the bathroom, finding the aspirin and taking some without turning the light on. Stepping out of the bathroom she noticed he'd straightened the tangled sheets, the deep red satin now draped invitingly low across his hips giving the illusion that he'd removed the black silk pants.

Seeing her hesitation and the soft whisper of her thoughts dancing across his mind, he laughed pushing the sheet back so she could get in bed knowing he was still dressed.

"Sometimes you're just not nice," she said with a huff walking around the bed and climbing beneath the satin sheet, "but you know this and enjoy it," she muttered.

Caydn rolled onto his side grinning down at her, his weight making her body slide closer to his. "Whose accusing me of not being nice when not once have I mentioned that this is the second time you've woke me in the middle of the day when I should be sleeping my best?" he asked with a smile one brow raised.

Her breath caught in her throat when the heated images passed through his mind of her body, his hands traveling over it possessively. Not meeting his eyes she quietly pulled the sheet up further almost tucking it under her chin, hearing his chuckle her eyes flashed up to meet his.

"Do you honestly think that either one of these two pieces of material would be in my way if I didn't want them to be," he said softly his voice deepening, his hand moving from under his head to brush her hair from her forehead gently.

She could feel the rein he was holding over himself and his body, stretching she smiled triumphantly seeing the fire burning in his eyes brighten at her movement. Yawning she looked at him for a minute listening to the soft whispers escaping his mind. "I do know you'd never do anything I didn't want you to do so yes I think this material keeps me safe," she said closing her eyes as if to sleep ignoring him.

"My question would be how do you honestly know what you do and don't want me to do to you Gypsy," he said reaching and pulling her body tightly against his, the swollen hardness of his cock pressing tightly against the curve of her hip branding her with the heat of it.

Her eyes snapped open meeting his, feeling his body molding along her side the heat and hardness throbbing as if a life of it's own demanding attention. She saw the slight frown pass over his face and the warring words of control that debated in his mind trying to win the argument of right and wrong.

Seeing her smile, knowing she was stepping gently though his thoughts, her assurance made his teeth grind together audibly when he took a deep breath.

"You think because of your innocence you're safe?" he growled softly. "That's only because I maintain control over myself and keep my desires and urges in check. Do you think I couldn't make you feel passion until you thought your skin was burning alive with it?" he chuckled seeing her roll her eyes, but knowing her hands were worrying the edge of the sheet as he spoke.

Reaching down he pulling one hand from the sheet entwining her fingers with his, pressing his palm against hers, feeling the erratic racing of her heart setting pace with his own through their hands.

"Gypsy in every man there's passion and need," he said lifting their hands to his mouth, his tongue dancing over her finger tips making her breath catch in her throat creating a soft sound that echoed in his ears. "Every man has some animal in him Gypsy and that animal cries to be let out," he whispered against the back of her hand, "I just happen to be more animal than man Gypsy," he said gently raking his teeth along the skin covering the back of her hand, his tongue tracing the thin lines left behind sealing them instantly.

She felt her body reacting to the sound of his voice even though he hadn't dropped his voice to the honeyed tones that tickled her mind. The sting of his teeth raking her hand then the wet heat of his tongue traced them made her gasp silently, the muscles deep inside her stomach creating a warm spasm as thought her body was turning to liquid.

Leaning toward her, his knees sliding over her legs before sliding between them making her groan when she felt his bare skin caressing hers, closing her eyes she fought the urge to look down and see if she was imagining it or if he was now naked. Feeling his breath brushing over her nipples she snapped her eyes open, realizing that the sheet was now down around her waist and the black silk shirt she wore was unbuttoned and fallen to her sides exposing her breasts to him.

Meeting her eyes he smiled before lowering his head slowly, giving her time to protest if she wanted before his tongue traced a gentle circle around one marble hard nipple slowly his breath caressing her skin with its heat.

Her gasp escaped even thought she's tried to stop it, she closed her eyes when he moved their combined hands to the other nipple their fingers circling it as one, while his mouth captured the other aching peak between his lips sucking it gently into his mouth making her arch her back to follow as he tugged at it sharply.

She felt a rush of heat between her thighs shocking her as her body seemed to tense and release all over spasms dancing along both muscle and bone as her nerve endings were electrified. Lifting her hand she pushed her fingers into his hair where it fell over his shoulder and onto hers, the silken strands making her body feel as if tiny needles were caressing her skin she was so sensitive. Holding his head to her breast when he attempted to pull back she gasped hearing the soft mewing sounds, realizing they were coming from her.

His fingers untangled from hers, his hand sliding along her side, his thumb tracing the full bottom curve of her breast before moving down her slender rib cage to her hip, pulling her even tighter against him.

The sound of her heart racing teased his hunger, the warm thick fluid just beneath the surface begging him to taste it at will, his incisors threatening to lengthen with his need and desire. Taking a deep breath he pulled back from her breast looking up when she opened her eyes, his mind sliding along the thoughts darting through hers.

Gypsy saw the seductive smile on his face and froze, her mind replaying the image of the curvy Amanda from the party flashing in front of her eyes that same sexual predatory smile on her face he had now. Tightening the hold in his hair she held him still for a second before putting her hand on his chest and pushing him back her fingers sliding from his hair quickly.

"Caydn stop," she said her voice sounding choked, "now we need to stop."

He knew instantly what she was thinking since she'd stopped holding her thoughts back awhile before. "Gypsy don't think about her," he said with a low growl, clenching his jaw tight feeling the throbbing that shook his body, the swollen length of his cock nestled so intimately against her body.
