Gypsy Wolf Ch. 05

"And here I thought I needed to hurry back," Rasp said as he ran into the courtyard. Wearing only a pair of sweat pants cut off at the knee, he walked over to where I still had Logan on the ground. "Elizabeth is going to let you go now," Rasp said kneeling down in front of Logan, "and the only thing you're going to do is get into your vehicles and get the hell out of my territory. If you do anything else, I will contact every pack that shares a border with you and wipe your pack from the face of the earth."

"Elizabeth," Rasp said, "I want you to go ahead and let him go and stand over by Natalie." Slowly lifting my foot off of his throat, I waited until I'd set it on the ground before releasing his wrist. Backing away from Logan, I kept my eyes on him as he picked himself up off the ground and headed towards the SUVs. Glancing back at me before climbing into a vehicle, you could taste the hate coming from him. Once the vehicle door was closed, my eyes moved to Xavier who was the only one who seemed amused by the whole situation. Giving me a small wave before climbing into the back of his vehicle, I had to fight the urge to wave back.

We all stayed in the courtyard as they maneuvered their vehicles and turned around. I had to laugh at Logan's ever impressive ego as his vehicle has a large ace of spades dominating the back window. Standing in silence, the pack waited until the last vehicle disappeared down the road before breaking up and returning to whatever they were doing before the interruption. It was several minutes before Rasp turned around and looked at us.

"They've cleared the gate," he said a wry smile coming to his face, "and as for the two of you interrupting my weekend." Walking towards us, Rasp wrapped his arms around and flung us up onto his shoulders before taking off at a run, carrying us towards the pack house.
