Just then closing time was called. Karen and I hugged one last time in the parking lot, I kissed her goodbye.
The next morning I packed what little belongings I had in the apartment and turned in my keys. I drove home smiling the whole way. I couldn't wait to tell Tony he was going to be a baby daddy.
