Her Protector

Gail knew that Pete had to know about Todd. She didn't want any secrets from him. "Pete, about Todd."

"You don't have to tell me anything. I knew that this would happen with you alone here with him, but I wanted you safe. Todd was the best choice I had at the time."

"I want you to know. No secrets between us, ok?"

"I love you Gail. What happened between you and Todd want change that."

"I love you too and I don't want to ever lose you because of this. I could no more have stopped this from happing if I had wanted too."

"Did you want to stop him?"

She looked at her husband. "No. He didn't force me. He wanted me and I wanted him. If it is any consolation it didn't happen for a week."

Pete laughed, "That must be a record for Todd. He usually get the woman the first night."

"Does it bother you that I slept with him?"

"Not really, I don't really have a jealous bone in my body. I know you love me and that what happened between the two of you was just sex between a man and a woman. I'm not worried about losing you to him because he will be looking for another woman within a week. Not that he doesn't care for you and would gladly get back in your bed if you let him but he isn't the kind to settled down with one woman. He doesn't have a problem fucking another mans wife because he knows he doesn't have to make a long term commitment."

Gail thought about what Pete told her about Todd. She knew he was right. Todd didn't love her and she didn't love him. They both liked the sex between them. She would never forget how it was with him. She also knew that if the opportunity ever arose that they could be together for another night both would take it. Right now she was thankful to be riding safely back home with her husband that she loved. Pleasing one man at a time was all she could handle, for now.
