I didn't care one way or other because I knew I'd call her something else altogether. I knew I'd always be calling her Honey—so's I wouldn't forget those two tracks I was on.

"By the way," I said, as if it had only now come to me and was incidental like, "soons we get back to Sugar Tree Holler, I guess I'll be goin' back into makin' those bee boxes."

"Oh, somethin' happen to the spare you made?"

"It ain't a spare no more. The bee man has been by and brought another swarm. He tells me we have a real good place for raisin' bees and we can really go into the business—that he could be bringing us new bee swarms as steady as we can put boxes out for them."

"That sounds good," Franny said. "With the adding of mouths to feed, it will be good to have a business bringing in money."

"Oh, and you talked about having an iron fence built to go around your kitchen garden to keep the deer out," I said, pushing my luck. "I hear tell that black hermit up on the ridge, Rufus Jefferson, is blacksmithing. I reckon I could go up there now and again and get him to do work for us."

Franny bought that one too. Them two tracks were well on their way.

It was nice to see the difference in your writing style with this one. I know mountain folk, and their way of speaking isn't easy for everyone to follow. You did a excellent job.

I totally understood the gist of this story. I loved the newness of the telling. The different way the writer (you) used the backwoods vernacular to bring the reader into the tale. Being from a mountainous area and having grown up with folk who talked and thought like these characters did, helped me understand the verbiage. Thank you for a wonderful story's! Keep writing!

This was difficult to read. At least the young man accepted that he is bi and needs to be fucked on a regular basis. Absolutely nothing wrong with that although I think men that identify as bi are kidding themselves. They would be happier if they accepted that they are gay. Up to the time when I sucked my first cock,, I truthfully had never thought of m2m sex. But, as soon as I sucked that cock and tasted that sweet cum, I knew I was now a cock sucker. In fact, that night I sucked off 5 guys and ended the night by finding that I also loved being fucked..

tough to read

the dialect i could accept, that's the character's voice.

i didn't understand why the construction of the narrative had to be so awkward. it was like slogging through mud. a battle.
