Miraculously, we made it. I couldn't believe it. We were sitting on the back seat of a limo as we were getting swept away to our secluded honeymoon destination in the beautiful California hills. We were trying to charge our batteries for the upcoming two weeks, so I was tucked in your arms and we were both lost in thought.

We had been best friends for over a decade and had been in a relationship for the last two years. We knew all of the intimate facets of each other's personalities. For the longest time we were both too afraid of risking the friendship to consider entering into a relationship with one another. We never even told the other how we felt.

I was madly in love with you, for as long as I could remember but until that fateful truth or dare game one night about two years prior you had never known that. You wouldn't have found out that night if I hadn't drank as much as I had, and if you hadn't dared me to put aside all my censoring mechanisms and do the thing that I found the scariest at that moment.

I walked over to you, straddled your lap, and engaged you in the most passionate kiss my tipsy self could muster. I felt you come alive underneath me and as soon as you overcame the shock of my actions, you soon had me pinned against the couch and were kissing me earnestly in return.

Finally we wore ourselves out, and you set me up in the guest bedroom like you usually did when I was over and we had been drinking. You were in better shape than I was so you grabbed one of your t-shirts and sent me off in the direction of your bathroom to get ready for bed while you got the room ready for me. You turned down the bed, and picked out an outfit for me for the next day out of the closet and hung it on the back of the private bathroom door; it was just one of the little rituals that we had come to live by when we were together.

You woke me up the next morning with breakfast in bed. You sat on the edge of the bed as I ate and delicately brought up the subject of what happened the night before. You looked me in the eye, and said, "Hun, I know I haven't told you this before, but I have been madly in love with you since the day I met you, and all the time that we have spent together over the years has just helped to reaffirm it. I am happiest when I am around you and I would have told you a lot sooner if I thought you felt the same way. I am sorry I coerced you into it, but I felt like it was my one chance and I didn't want to lose it. Will you give me the honor of being my girlfriend and giving a relationship between us a chance?"

I had been tearing up as you spoke, mostly from the realization that everything that had happened the night before was real and wasn't just a dream. Up until the moment you breathed the words, I never would have thought you would ask me to be your girlfriend I never let myself even begin to hope that you felt the same way about me as I felt about you, so when you asked all I could do was nod. I was speechless.

I agreed and you wrapped me up in your arms, just holding me close to you. Then you got up, moved the tray of food from the bed and tackled me to the bed. You began tickling me mercilessly and my only recourse was to grab your face and kiss you. Your hands tangled in my hair and I gained the upper hand, before you knew it I had rolled us over and I was straddling you once again. You knew you were in trouble but figured you would see what I would do with the situation.

You were much more experienced than I was. I dabbled, you delved. So when you realized that I hadn't put anything on underneath your t-shirt, you were beginning to wonder how far I would let it go. As I began to trace squiggly lines all over your chest that began to slowly creep their way lower, you decided that enough was enough.

You grabbed me by the wrists and held them away from you. You shifted your weight so you sat up underneath me. The hurt look on my face bothered you and you quickly engaged me in a tender kiss. I wrapped my arms around your neck and you gradually rocked us back and forth. You then swatted my butt and told me to get up and get dressed and meet you in the living room.

As I walked in I noticed with a smile that you had set yourself up on the roomy couch, but your stance suggested that we were in for a long talk. I walked toward you, hesitating slightly, not knowing where to sit. You stood up and closed the distance. You gave me a huge hug and then picked me up. You wrapped my legs around you, and then you sat us back down on the couch.

You informed me that we were in for a good long talk and you wanted my input. I nodded slowly, praying feverishly that all my hopes didn't get dashed by own word from you sensuous, sexual, overpowering lips. You started off, "Babe..."

I didn't let you get any farther because I was suddenly overtaken by an overwhelming desire to kiss you. You acquiesced to my needs and waited for me to break the kiss before you continued your sentence.

"Babe, I think we need to set some ground rules. I know you want to wait to marriage, and unlike all of the other jerks I have watched you date. I respect that and want that for us as well. I will never let you give me your virginity, unless it is our wedding night. I'm sorry it is just how I feel. And we are going to take it slow and do this right. You deserve to be treated like a princess and I love you more then I will ever be able to express so I want nothing more than to spoil, pamper, and dote on you. If I was standing I would give you a long sweeping bow, but I would rather not drop you in a heap on the floor in the process."

I started giggling uncontrollably, but the overall seriousness of the situation quickly sedated me. I looked you dead in the eye for a moment before nodding my head and agreeing. We made the deal then and there, sealed it with a kiss.

"Babe, Babe, are you ok? We are here."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just thinking back to the day that this all started."

"The day we met?"

"No, the day you dared me to do the scariest thing I could think of."

"Oh yes, the beginning of the best days of my life," you whispered as you pulled me close to you and kissed me.

We were parked a bit down the road from the place where we would be staying for the next two weeks. You noticed me looking around and told me that the chauffer was taking our bags up into the house and then he will leave so we can enjoy the house, and our honeymoon.

You asked me if I trusted you. I nodded and you pulled a blindfold out of your pocket. You could tell it made me a little nervous, but I didn't fight it. You tied it around my eyes, and then I heard you say a few words to the chauffer. A few moments later a car door slammed and the sound of wheels crunching on gravel disturbed the serene surroundings.

As the sound of the car faded into the sound of birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the breeze the reality of the situation hit me. I was now married to my best friend. He was my husband and I, his wife. We were on our honeymoon in a secluded location that I didn't even know anything about for the next two weeks, and we had ten years of pent up emotions and desires to attempt to begin to rectify in the next couple of weeks.

You deftly picked me up, and wrapped my arms around your neck. You carried me up the steps and what sounded to be around a deck. You set me down and placed my hands on the railing, and told me to keep my eyes closed until you told me otherwise. I felt the blindfold fall from my eyes, and your arms wrap around my waist again. You nuzzled up against my shoulder and lightly kissed my neck before telling me to open my eyes.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the view I opened my eyes to, was worth at least two million. It was the most spectacular thing I had ever seen. It was a picturesque landscape, the house sat just up the hill from a crystal lake. The whole scene was surrounded by statuesque redwoods. An even more indescribable sunset had descended on the scene in front of us. The lake mirrored the brilliant pinks, purples, and oranges of the sky, and the few clouds that graced the sky, seemed to dance around like my excitement over everything that had recently transpired.

You let me drink in the fresh glass of water that was the view before interrupting my murmured approvals. "Babe, you know how I told you that my wedding present to you was going to be a surprise? Well this is it, this house has been in my family for generations and now it's ours, do you like it? Oh and by the way, we also own all of the acreage around the lake and for a ways out in all directions. We will not be disturbed here. So, whenever we need to get away from our hectic lives we have a place to go that is only about two hours from home."

I turned around to kiss you and show you my true appreciation for you gift, but I never quite got there. As I turned around to look at you, you took a step back and allowed me to get my first glimpse of the house. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was a two story log cabin style home, but this one was well taken care of and absolutely stunning. It was also huge, and I couldn't help the passing thought as to how many different surfaces we had before us to initiate.

With that thought, I wrapped my arms around you and engulfed us both in an extremely passionate kiss. We were alone in the middle of nowhere, and we were married. We could have sex where ever we wanted inside or out without concern. I couldn't help but speculate where we would start.

A good start. I like your style- smooth

The older writers know that things work better if done smoothly. It's life and experience.

Interesting plot...

I hope you have more chapters on the way.

This definitely has potential.

Interesting to read a story where the characters have more in mind than just a quick fuck.
