~Alrighty my first story! I'm probably a little to excited but I digress. Let me know if y'all like it. ~kisses

Running. He was running. But, what the hell from? He was in the woods. No doubt about it, the woods. It was dark. Pitch black. He was running by trees. All of them tall, green and in close enough proximity so that their leaves were pressed together making the sky above look green.

The ground was green and plush. He could hear only his heart erratically beating. He heard a shot ring out and fell to his knees. He could feel his fangs elongating as screams sounded all around him and the smell of blood hung heavy in the air. He felt his eyes changing to a soul burning red.

He looked up and stopped heaving. He felt anger coursing through his veins accompanied by......… fear? What was there to be afraid of? He was the- "Infara." He heard a voice say, and everything turned black.

Lukas sat up in his bed and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. He was always left with mixed feelings after that damned dream. He felt an odd connection to whatever girl was being tortured. He couldn't help but feel obligated to help and comfort her. But why should he even care? He didn't even know who she was. Nor did he care to. 'Whoever it is can deal with their own damn problems.'

Lukas thought about the way her scream sounded and caught himself smiling. 'I wonder what she looks like.' "Dammit!" This had to stop. Feelings and people weren't his thing. Were they any vampire's thing? Except for a meal of course. That was the only use he had for them. But she felt... different.

He groaned and flopped back onto the bed. 'This girl is the star of my nightmares. I've only heard her scream and smelt her blood and she's making me smile?' he shook his head in disbelief, "What on earth is wrong with me?"

'Maybe I just need to go for a run.' He grabbed his hoodie, slipped on his shoes and left.

Athena awakened with a gasp. She was constantly waking up in the middle of the night. She could not figure out why. 'What the hell is happening?' she moaned and slid from under her covers. If this night was going to be like the past week, trying to go back to sleep wasn't an option. She put on a pair of spandex shorts and made her way down stairs. She stopped in front of the mirror at the bottom and looked at herself. 'Wow. Can my hair get any frizzier?' she looked at her body and sighed. She knew she wasn't the skinniest girl out there, but she worked the hell out of what she was. 'Thick and fabulous as always.' She had large breast, a bottom to match and killer curves in-between. She was wearing a white tank top and matching spandex shorts. She knew it was weird that she always wore white or blue but she couldn't help that she loved the contrast. Her teeth always stayed stark white without anything other than toothpaste and water. 'Now if only my hair could be just as low maintenance.' She looked at the tight waves and grimaced.

She walked into the kitchen and took the post-it note off of the fridge. It was from her mom. 'Morning baby. Won't be home until late, operative training all-day. Have a wonderful first day! ~kisses' "smooch" she said out loud. She rolled her eyes. 'Im 18 and I still finish our saying. Can't wait to be called a loser.'

She was excited to start her senior year of high school but she couldn't help but feel scared. Granit she should be use to it because her mother served in the navy for her entire life so moving wasn't new, but it was scary each time. 'I hope I atleast make one friend.'

She opened the fridge and grabbed the orange juice and eggs and sat them on the counter. 'Or at least make the cheer team' she smiled and closed the fridge. 'Today should be eventful.'

lukas shut the bathroom door, thankful that he had his own luxuries in his room. He had his own refridgerator and semi kitchen as well. Having it all righ there made it seem more like an apartment, and he never had to leave his room. Making it so he almost never had to see his mom in her almost constant inebriated state. He looked at his bed, wishing he could return to sleep longer. He scoffed and began dressing.

When he finished he looked into the mirror meeting his piercing green gaze. He had to admit to himself that his eyes were astonishing. They were rimmed with royal blue and had golden flecks. Even he could get lost in them. He ran his hands through his sandy brown hair and pulled his hoodie over his head.

Everything he wore was black as always. He found other colors tiring, and black and rarely grey just seemed to fit his personality. Cold, hard, and dark. strangely it never kept the girls away as he intended. None of them were worth his time. They were too emotional and he was not into sharing his thoughts or feelings with anyone. Even his best friend Cole. He wondered why he was even friends with the werewolf. He was outgoing, social and couldn't get enough of the girls. They were complete opposites. But Lukas had known him since birth and they were like brothers. So there was no getting rid of him.

He put his diamond studs in and grabbed his backpack. He hate carrying it because it completely contrasted himself. It was small and feeble unlike his build. He was tall and muscular. The last time he checked he was 6'4 and still counting. Football and occasionally basketball kept him huge. He liked that he was massive and menacing. It made people scared of him. The fear he could smell when he walked past them was tantalizing. he could feel his fangs elongating. He walked to his freezer and withdrew a bag of blood. He pierced and drained it, throwing the waste inside the biohazard container he emptied nightly at the local hospital. Cole's Mom Stephanie had always provided him with the blood he needed. She worked at the hospital and snuck him out blood everyday. She was like his mother. Better even. Seeing as that she truly cared for him.

Lukas briefly wished his father had cared enough to stick around. When he got his mother pregnant he left her. as if she were nothing. He felt his face heat in anger, but he cooled his emotions. He left his room, went down the stairs and out the door. The first day of senior year wasn't going to complete itself.
