I woke to the sun the next morning amidst a heap of warm blankets that lay atop an empty tent platform. Everything was gone. Standing up in the soft light of morning, I waded out into the lake oblivious of my nakedness which was in clear view of any surrounding campsites or passing boaters. After a long moment, I returned to the platform, wrapped myself in a blanket, and moved inland to look for signs of life.
