"I'm sorry," I said. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I can't do this. I have to go." I eased myself out from under him, and half-walked half-swam out of the pool. I grabbed my bikini top, couldn't find my bottoms, and ran into the house naked. I passed Rob and Didi on the living room couch having noisy, vigorous sex, and wished that were me. I found my clothing and pulled my wet shorts on, leaving the wet panties in the bag, put on my bikini top and my shirt, and waited outside by the car until Mindy was ready to drive us home.

Anonymousalmost 12 years agoI really got into Jen's story only to have it end and her run away. I figured you'd pick it up again, but now it a couple of months and two more chapters later and nothing. I hope you'll rectify this soon. Thanks

Gary_Alexanderalmost 12 years agoAuthorNot that I'd blame them... but actually, I'd asked them to rename "Jen at the Pool Party Ch. 01," because the new name would fit in better with the follow-up story (or stories). Instead, the story ended up online twice, with two names.
Nobody will blame you if you give high ratings to both of them. Just saying. It would be funny if the two versions of the same story end up with wildly different numbers.
If you're a writer here, you know this already: if you like a series, or even if you think a series has good potential, high ratings are the encouragement for a writer to continue. It's not as if there's money or fame in this, after all: just the satisfaction of having our work acknowledged and appreciated.
