Sara dropped onto the stool next to Shawn just before the professor walked in.

"Good timing. How's Sam?" Shawn asked.

"He went home this morning," Sara answered.

"That's good," Shawn said. Sara nodded and they turned to pay attention to the lecture. When the lecture was over, they filed out of the lecture hall. "Do you want to go have lunch?" Shawn asked.

"I'd love to," Sara agreed. Shawn smiled and slipped his hand into Sara's as they walked to the dining hall.

Sara dropped ice cubes in glasses and poured cola over the ice as she thought about the predicament she was in. She loved Sam, but she also cared for Shawn and she had no idea about what to do. "What movie did you bring?" Sara asked Shawn as she walked into the living room.

"Batman Begins," Shawn answered. Sara smiled and set the tray of soda and popcorn on the coffee table. "Is that okay?" Shawn asked.

"It's cool, I love Batman," Sara told him. Shawn handed her the DVD and she popped it into the player and settled back next to Shawn and grabbed a handful of popcorn. Shawn glanced at Sara as her head lowered to his shoulder and smiled softly, reached for her hand and intertwined his fingers with hers. Sara reached into the bowl for popcorn at the same time as Shawn and their hands brushed against each other. Sara gave an awkward smile as she munched on popcorn. Sara knew she should probably pull her hand away from Shawn's, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. When the movie was over, Sara stood up and led Shawn to her bedroom. "Sara, are you sure?" Shawn asked as he watched her pull her sweatshirt over her head. Sara nodded and let her jeans drop to the floor.

"I need this Shawn," Sara whispered. Hesitantly, Shawn removed his own clothing and took a step towards the bed. Sara's eyes fixated on Shawn's cock; it was hard, wide and long; much bigger than she would have imagined. Shawn whispered something in her ear as he stuck his hand between them to play with her clit and Sara came with an almost ear shattering scream; Shawn let out a deep groan as his seed burst from his body into hers. They held each other as they tried to catch their breath. "Are you alright?" Shawn asked.

"Yes," Sara whispered as he pulled away from her. Her eyes widened and she looked down when she felt the mixture of their fluids run down her legs. Shawn's eyes followed hers and he swallowed hard.

"Are you on the pill?" he asked quietly. Sara shook her head. "But you and Sam have had sex, why haven't you used the pill?" Shawn wanted to know.

"He can't get anyone pregnant, not from sex," Sara whispered, her mind going a million miles an hour as thoughts chased each other around the imaginary race track in her mind. Shawn said nothing to that and reached for Sara's hand.

"Sara, look at me," Shawn said softly. Sara looked up at him, her eyes glassy with unshed tears. "If something comes of this, I'll be here with you," he told her gently.

"Hey Sam," Kelsey greeted. Sam looked up and smiled, not surprised to see her in the library, she practically lived in the stacks.

"How are you doing Kels?" Sam asked.

"Better. I needed to talk to you about something," Kelsey said, her voice quiet, her eyes hinted to nervousness.

"Sure, let's go back to my apartment," Sam told her, leading her out of the library. "So, how'd you know I'd be at the library today?" Sam asked.

"You're at the library every Sunday," Kelsey said. Sam smiled as he drove the ten minutes to his apartment.

"So what's up?" Sam asked, handing Kelsey a glass of water.

"Did Sara tell you what David and I were going to do?" Kelsey asked.

"The artificial insemination? Yeah," Sam answered.

"David's already done his part, they've already extracted the sperm," Kelsey began. Sam waited for her to continue, his eye brow raised in curiosity. "I want to have it done, I want to have David's baby," Kelsey added.

"I think that's great," Sam said.

"The thing is, the clinic we chose won't do it on single women. In order for me to be artificially inseminated, I have to be married," Kelsey told him.

"But David's dead," Sam reminded her. Kelsey winced.

"I know. I was hoping that as David's best friend, you could help me out with that," Kelsey murmured.

"Excuse me?" Sam asked, taken aback.

"It doesn't have to be forever, just until I'm pregnant and then we can start working on a divorce," Kelsey said hurriedly. Sam stared at Kelsey in surprise and she stood up. "Take some time, think about it, talk it over with Sara. I have to go," Kelsey said in a rush before fleeing from the apartment.
