"Hello?" He asked to the screen. William leaned into his side to see as well.
"Hector!" His father was speaking really loudly on the other end. Hector chuckled at his volume.
"Papa, I can hear you. You can use your regular talking voice." Everyone at the table laughed lowly. Natasha looked around, everyone looked tired and ready for bed. Including Bobby.
"I told him that." Someone else was on the phone with his father.
"Hey, Alejandro." Hector greeted his brother. "And Kat—Why is everyone in one place? Are you guys having dinner together?" Hector's brows were pushed together in slight confusion.
"We can't all check on you?" Alejandro asked. "We wanted to let you know that we all love you, support you and are so happy that you're happy." Hector was touched, but clearly confused.
"That means a lot to me. I love you all too but why—"
Hector was cut short by Elizabeth's shriek. She stood up abruptly and everyone tried to see where her attention was.
Natasha peered over the edge of the table to see William bent on one knee, right in front of Hector. Gina held up a phone, likely recording, and approached to take Hector's out of his hand. She allowed his family to watch his engagement from all the way in Argentina.
Hector was speechless, but Natasha could see his tears starting to form.
"Hector," William started. Natasha could feel her own tears surfacing too. She bounced Isaac a little further up her body so she could stand and get a better view beside Elizabeth. "I got the privilege to meet my soulmate. You are the half I had been searching for that I didn't think existed. After spending time with your family and seeing the wonderful people who raised you, I want to be part of your family too. And I want you to be a part of mine."
Both Natasha and Elizabeth were wiping away their shed tears.
"Will you marry me?" Hector sniffled hard as he extended his hand for William to slip on the beautiful, diamond wedding band.
"Of course." Hector answered. They both stood up and embraced one another. Everyone clapped and cheered powerfully in celebration of their genuine love. After their hug, they kissed modestly for the sake of family. But Natasha knew there'd be a part two later on.
She looked at Bobby who had stood up to clap too. He was grinning so hard, she thought he might have been crying too.
Seeing their proposal definitely reignited some old feelings within Natasha. She could remember how much love she felt in her heart when Bobby proposed. He was so nervous, she thought it was the cutest thing. There was never a doubt in her core when she said yes to committing to her love for the rest of her life.
He'd been her provider, protector, laughter, joy and best friend. He was patient with her when she had not a trace left in her bones, he was compassionate when she wanted to be fired up and he was her support when she was at her lowest. There was no one in the world better for her than Bobby.
Bobby finally noticed Natasha's staring.
He smirked, knowing how sentimental she was. Everyone else's happiness always made her happy too. Same was said for their pain and sadness. Natasha was just an empathetic person and Bobby could figure she was feeding off of the emotions of the newly-engaged.
"Come here." He mouthed it silently. Natasha leaned into him and he put a firm grip on the back of her neck. She shifted Isaac a little on her chest so Bobby could get close enough to bend for her lips.
Their kiss was tender and full of love. Natasha was cradling her baby and Bobby was holding them both. She didn't think she could feel any more secure than in that moment.
"Hey!" Oliver called at them. Bobby languidly—a little too languidly, pulled away from Natasha's lips to look up at his grandfather. "Let's stay focused." Bobby and Natasha laughed lightly as they finally put some distance between them. Bobby, not ready to let her go quite yet, still kept her in place at his side with an arm coiled around her waist. Natasha leaned into him as they watched everyone else coo over Hector and William.
She wished them a lifetime of love just as powerful as hers.
