Sibyl needed a moment for that to sink in. She felt humiliated, and in her shame turned her gaze away from Lucia's and down toward the floor. "How long have you thought this?"
"I've had a feeling, since the day you first came back to the lab. But as for actually suspecting this... I'd say it was when we were analyzing your samples, and your inner scientist really came out. And when I saw that you'd gotten with Faith, I was sure. Because your body never had any interaction whatsoever with her, though the doctor knew her well and was very fond of her."
"I see," Sibyl rasped, her throat having gone hoarse and dry.
For a moment they stood there, with Sibyl looking miserable and ashamed, and Lucia wondering if she was supposed to offer a hug, or some sort of consolation. "I... I couldn't blame you for doing it. Life as a goddess must be a lot better."
"It has its ups and downs." She glanced at Faith, who was entering the hallway after finishing up in the bathroom. "I'm sorry that you were coerced into doing... doing things you would have never done with my old self."
"Think nothing of it. It's not like I wasn't benefiting from it. Or that I didn't like it."
Sibyl nodded, feeling somewhat relieved in knowing that Lucia held no ill will against her for her deception. "So you're staying here?"
"Yes."
"And you won't miss what we have?"
Lucia looked to the sleepy sisters, particularly Alene, who smiled deviously at her when she found her gaze. "I'll be okay," she said distantly as she turned back to Sibyl, looking just as guilty as she had.
Tears began to well up in Sibyl's eyes. The goddesses really were going to provide Lucia with everything she needed and desired. There was no resisting the fact that it was time for their paths to part.

Anonymousover 8 years agoBefore anything else, i was super excited to see the new chapter, and love your work. However I must agree that one, the rushed ending was a minus, the true turn off for me was the quick parting of Lucia, and the NTR scene of her return, and just smashing her pregnancy and willingness to be a drifting fuck toy, in our faces. I was honestly upset with Lucia and wished ill on her until I calmed a little. I was also put off a bit by the fact "goddess' were so trite and condescending towards our team, no family reunion, just an immediate need to use them. I'd like to close by saying that my blatent venting is fueled by love of your writing and ur characters. Please don't be discouraged or stop.
Anonymousover 8 years agoI think that people need to understand that you were winging this story from the beginning. I dont see anything really wrong with it. It is a sex story after all and I found the sex in it to be some of the best you ever did. Dont edit it too much
GeneraZover 8 years agoAuthorI’m thankful for them… for a couple reasons.
These constructive criticisms regarded my story, not the smut, implying that that is what people are returning to my stories to see. That pleases me immensely. Though I’m disappointed to realize that I failed to deliver (more on that is coming) I am truly flattered that my story and characters have enough value for readers to speak up when I stumble.
What you've said is spot-on true. I realize now that I was rushing for a conclusion instead of letting the story follow its course. The way it ended isn't up to my personal standards. I will be removing the offending chapters and resubmitting the edited story chunk, then returning to work on Listen... until I can bring it to a proper finish. It might take a while!
With that said I will not be changing the plot, much. I stand by every development and device!
