The neighbor watched as Robert carelessly walked from Peg Small's house to his own. A calendar check revealed that it was another weekend that Joan Crane was away. The cat's away so the mouse plays. Oh, what a tangled web we weave. A few more similar truisms floated through the neighbor's mind. How many more neighbors was Mr. Crane going to spread his seed with?
The bigger question was what should be done about him?

Robert turned to hear Peg mention that phrase to Kara and Joan across the table. It snapped him out of yet another moment of reminiscing about his neighbors. He had no idea what the three women had been talking about, but it didn't matter. Peg was right. Life was good in the subdivision.
That sentiment was echoed by Lorna Goodman and Gale Lang who sat between Peg and Don at the end of the table.
