Click hereHe advanced upon the mayor, snarling. "Is this all you could find?"
"Yes, sire!" the mayor stammered bowing several times, hoping it would appease him.
The prince glared and turned back to the women, bellowing out commands. "Line them up and strip them down. The selection begins now!"
The women began crying hysterically as the guards forced them to strip and line up. Lilandra was the only one not crying. She was too tired and hurt to care anymore. She dropped her clothes and stood there ignoring the gasps from the crowd when they took in the mess her back and butt presented. It was a mass of bruises and bleeding welts. And she hadn't forgotten about the brand, which now was only a dull throbbing ache.
The Prince strode along the line, a critical eye looking across the women. Occasionally he would cup a breast or grab a buttock. He stopped dead in his tracks however when he came upon Lilandra. His memory stirred and his vivid beautiful blue eyes stared into hers for a long moment. He straightened up and nodded to Lilandra. "This one will be the payment this month. Clean her up and send her to my palace. The rest will be sent to the harem for training should I return."
The women were ushered away and a guard grabbed Lilandra's arm dragging her toward a nearby home to clean her up.
The Prince walked over to the Mayor, an angry look upon his face. "Where did you find that girl?"
The mayor stammered, "one of the outlying farms." He hoped that his prince would be satisfied with that answer and not harm him.
Prince Aries grabbed the Mayor by the throat and lifted him off the ground to his face. "Which one and where is it?"
"The one nearest the forest! The one owned by Victor and his sons!" he squealed.
"Victor..."
The Prince snarled and tossed the Mayor away, taking flight in a roar of outrage, heading straight for Victor's farm.
The mayor sat there rubbing his throat and thanked the fates he wasn't Victor.
