Lynn and Leif Forevermore Ch. 43

She sat up in the bed and moved out of the circle of his arms.

That was when he knew she was really steamed!

"I would want an explanation. And, that's where trusting me comes in. Because I realize that my behavior is a little strange lately, but I'm trying to do something good. I'm asking for you to have a little faith in me. You're religious as hell. You have faith in a God you can't see, and have never known, and you're sure you're right about even his or her material form, even though I've shown you that lots of faiths believe different ways. And I think that's beautiful. So, you can have faith in shit you don't understand yet. Apply the same logic to me," said Leif.

Lynne looked at him through the shadow of the moonlight, and did something he didn't expect at all, began laughing hysterically.

"So...so I just need to have a little bit of faith in you! You're fucking God now? Is that what you are telling me. And since you're God, I'm not supposed to question you, even though you've been acting nuts since yesterday? I'm supposed to have blind faith and hope things work out for the best? Well, that's great, except, you're not God Leif. God doesn't have to be accountable for his actions. You do. I know you are my hero. And so many things to me. Leif you've managed to be so many things that even my parents and family couldn't give me. And that's why...if you break my trust I...I couldn't be with you. You've got me used to feeling too damn good and I won't accept second best from you. I just won't do it. And something's going on with that damn computer," she concluded.

And she got up out of the bed, and logged onto the laptop with the password sheet he'd given her.
