Buddy nodded. "If...if my legs work," he said, smiling.
Marla opened the car door and slid off the young man's lap and out of the vehicle, her bare feet hitting the garage floor. She grabbed her jeans and undies and began putting them back on. Meanwhile, Buddy was slipping his shorts back on.
"I was thinking about calling out for pizza," Marla said as they walked from the garage toward the house. "How does that sound to you?"
"Great," Buddy said. "I like hamburg and onion."
"Me, too," Marla said.
