As Felicia saw it her hold on Jed consisted of three elements: her beauty, her social skills and the fact that Jed truly loved her. All of the bimbos lacked her social skills so that even those who were as pretty as or prettier than her were truly no competition and she was safe.

In contrast to them, Vera was a formidable threat. Although Felicia believed she still had superior social skills to Vera, still Vera was a professional and owner of her own accounting firm. At the celebratory party, Felicia could see that Vera could hold her own in high society. Thus Felicia's superior social skills would not be discernible enough as a factor for Jed to unequivocally prefer her over Vera on that basis alone.

Besides, Felicia knew Vera to be at least eight plus years younger and in addition she had to admit that Vera was probably prettier. Such current physical beauty would negate Felicia's perceived advantage in social skills. So it boiled down to that Felicia's overall advantage over Vera was the fact that Jed still loved her but Felicia could see that such advantage was in peril and could easily slip away.

Vera's obvious ace in the hole was that she was sexual; not just sexual but smolderingly sexual. And it appeared that Jed was enchanted by the sexuality of Vera. Although Felicia was appalled at the brazenness of the sex in the video still she could sense that Jed was eager for it. So it does not take rocket science to deduce that the longer the affair between Jed and Vera lasted then Jed's love for her would start to diminish. Felicia had previously consulted Dr Bivens, a renowned psychiatrist specializing in sexual dysfunctions. Felicia had undergone in the past some very intense sessions in an effort to become more sexual but had failed. Nevertheless Felicia kept seeing Dr Bivens on an infrequent but regular basis, and kept her fully apprised of everything going on in her life.

Dr Bivens used some unusual treatment techniques some of which were not approved by her professional peers. Still Dr Bivens had a remarkable success rate. Felicia believed her sexual problems were so acute that if anyone could help it could only be Dr Bivens. If she could not help, then there was no hope.

So after the initial greeting at the therapist's office, Felicia said:

"I have brought with me a copy of a video showing my husband having sex with two other women simultaneously at a sex club he belongs to. In light of my frigidity problems, as you know I had made a pact with Jed that I would not object to him having sex with other women so long as he does not bring scandal upon us. Not to leave anything to chance I retained a private investigator, a certain Ellery Snodgrass, so that I would have information I could use to ensure the preservation of my marriage."

Dr. Bivens replied:

"So I gather that this video contains a problem you had not anticipated?"

Felicia continued:

"Exactly! I want you to watch this video which has been edited down to 15 minutes from the total copy my investigator had obtained. There is enough in it for you to discern the concerns I have as it relates to my marriage."

Dr Bivens' consulting office contained a TV and accompanying DVD player, so the video was duly played.

When it was over, Dr Bivens asked:

"One of those women seems to be Pamela Rose, the famous singer. Is it indeed her?"

"Yes it is indeed Pamela Rose and actually as I understand it, it was she that ordered the recording. Apparently this sex club offers such service for its members."

"I see. So is that your concern that your husband is having sex with Pamela Rose, which might jeopardize your marriage?"

"No I'm not concerned about her at all, as I think it is quite obvious in this video there is no chemistry between my husband and her. Besides as I understand it, Pamela is a long standing member of this club and has no favorites. It is the other woman I'm worried about."

"Oh, is that so? Who is she, and why your concern?"

"Her name is Vera Starikovich and she is my husband's accountant. When I made my agreement with Jed I was not overly concerned if he had sex with a lot of women. If he continued having sex with a variety of women with no obvious preference, it would mean he would not develop a romantic interest in any of them. In such cases I believed my marriage would be safe.

At this party I was lulled into believing there was no sexual attraction between them, but this video shows otherwise. As they both have offices in the Sears Tower, Ellery has kept up surveillance in the past several weeks. Felicia replied:

"Indeed! I noted it was the very first Wednesday after the visit to this TLR orgy that Jed informed me that he would not be henceforth coming home on Wednesdays. I know he hates to lie to me outright, so he gave no reason for his absences, as I did not probe.

Dr Bivens responded:

Dr Bivens asked:

Dr Bivens asked a little skeptically:

"I think in the past I felt totally secure of Jed's love for me. When we first had sex, and Jed saw how abysmal I was at it, I explained my horrible past that accounted for my frigidity. His first reaction was to swear revenge on the three men who had raped me during my junior year in high school. From Ellery's services I have discovered that Jed did indeed exact revenge. Those men today are penniless homeless vagrants needing to rely on charity for their existence. That Jed was instrumental in the downfall of these men reinforced my impression of his solid love for me.

His devotion to me lulled me into believing that no matter how many other women he might have sex with, he would always ultimately love me. With such mindset I believe I had no sense of urgency in my previous therapy sessions. I was content with my lot. Yes the fact that Jed would make love to other women did indeed hurt my self esteem, but I knew I could live with that so long as I remained Number One in his heart.

However I recognize that this Vera Starikovich bitch can change Jed's feelings towards me. I have the impression that I've only a few months window of opportunity left to get Jed back before he falls hopelessly into that whore's clutches. I'm prepared to do anything I must do to keep Jed, and as I see it I must become sexual.

Therefore, I know I'll succeed this time in therapy. I have the necessary resolve"

Dr Bivens responded:

Felicia interrupted:

"I don't recall you having me look at such videos in past sessions."

De Bivens continued:

"I know Felicia. These video aids are the cutting edge for treatment of sexual dysfunction. They have not yet been approved by either the American Psychiatric Association, or the American Psychological Association. However in due course, as I and likeminded colleagues hopefully achieve clinical proven successes with the aid of these videos then I believe the use of such videos will become standard therapy."

Felicia exclaimed:

"Oh so I'm going to be a guinea pig for new scientific breakthrough research. Kind of makes me feel special! I like that idea."

Dr Bivens continued:

"In addition to watching the videos you will be given lots of homework assignments involving utilizing sexual toys to assist in masturbation for the purpose to revitalize your latent libido. And of course there will be extensive one-on-one therapy sessions with me as well as what I would deem useful group therapy sessions depending on how you respond to the proposed treatment. I expect if you do make the sincere effort, you should be able to function sexually to your husband's satisfaction within six months. I can't of course guarantee it but given your motivation success is a realistic prospect."

Felicia replied:

"OK let's get on with it. I'm ready as I'll ever be. I'm determined to secure my husband and not let that whore steal him away from me. She will soon find out that it will not be so easy to get him for herself!"

With such ambition, Felicia devoted all her energies to conquer her frigidity under Dr Bivens care and treatment. The breakthrough came as she was able to subconsciously accept she was not in way responsible for her sexual misfortunes. 'Well here goes' she thought to herself. After thanking him profusely for his gift, she said:

"Jed darling I've obtained a special gift as well which I hope you'll like. However it will take a little time for me to properly present it to you. Will you be good enough to take five minutes to finish your wine and desert, and when the five minutes are up please come to the our bedroom where I'll have it ready for you to show it.

Please don't come before the five minutes are up, but then come as quickly as you can. Also please knock on the door before you come in so I'll know you've arrived, but you need not wait for me to verbally ask you to come in."

Jed was naturally intrigued by her mysteriousness, but he was prepared to obey her instructions so as not to spoil whatever her intentions. Having spent the previous night in Vera's company, he was not inclined to disappoint Felicia on their anniversary; a tiny bit of guilty conscience had crept into his brain as he had to admit he was having a very pleasant evening with his wife.

When the time limit expired, he got up to the room, knocked on the door and entered. Once inside he immediately saw that the room had been redecorated and the familiar king size bed was replaced by an ornate four poster bed complete with curtains drawn. Jed was a devotee of antique furniture and the changes effected by Felicia were to his liking. He was especially enamored of the bed as he had occasionally mentioned to Felicia his partiality towards them. He just had not ever bothered to acquire one since furniture purchases had not been a priority to him.

He did not see Felicia, but he assumed she was on the bed invisible to him because of the drawn curtains.

Sure enough he heard Felicia say as her voice emanated from the bed: "Welcome Jed to your new bed. I've consulted modern etiquette suggestions and guidelines to elegant living and I find that the appropriate anniversary present associated to one's 17th wedding celebration is: believe it or not, but furniture. I know you've always indicated you have loved antique four poster beds but we've not for one reason or another got around to getting one. This bed I found is a modernized replica of what the monarchs of France had at the palace in Versailles. I hope you like it."
