Click here"But Vera you were 14 when Natasha was born. You had lots more stamina and energy then, than you do now."
Vera snorted even louder:
"Hah! Have you not heard about Governor Sarah Palin? She gave a political speech in Dallas when her water broke. She calmly boarded a plane to fly back to Alaska to give birth to her fifth child. She was back to work three days later. I would be ashamed of myself to wus out to that woman especially as I understand she was 44 at the time whereas I'm merely 36 years of age."
Dr Barrett sighed and rolled her eyes. Obviously Vera had remained stubborn as ever, and the years had not changed her outlook to being reasonable about how she ought to conduct herself through a pregnancy.
That night as they were making love to each other, Vera and Natasha were giddy in their joy of their pregnancies. They were particularly mirthful as they contemplated the intricacies of the blood relation their expected children would have to each other.
With respect to the comment posted 10/25/2011; Chapter 33 just recently posted should satisfy the stated curiosity. I get the impression that the reader/contributor expected that the characters in this novel should have succumbed to STDs, and suffered the horrible consequences therefrom. I would point out that the former famous NBA star “Magic” Johnson revealed on Nov 7/1991 that he had tested positive for HIV, and that he would immediately retire from the game. At the time of such public announcement, it was generally thought that the life expectancy of people in such condition was ten years. Since Mr Johnson is still with us, it would appear great strides have been made in successfully treating STDs from that time. Ergo the characters in this novel probably do not have to worry too much in their pursuit of a hedonistic lifestyle.
I just wanted to know, will there be any consequences for their actions in this story? I've been reading it from the first chapter, I know it's fiction, but COME ON!!!
