Friday had arrived and Staci was gearing up for a night out with her girls and hopefully with a few good looking men as well. Kathy had been ceremoniously univited to the Kappa party, seeing as her latest boyfriend, Quincy, found out that she was two timing him with some guy named Brian. Staci swore that Kathy would never settle down, but she did expect Kathy to date Qunicy for more than two weeks before stepping out on him. And to think, she was missing out on the Kode Red party that the Kappa's threw annually because Kathy had decided to move on before breaking up Quincy. A Kappa party was guaranteed to have exteremely fine brothers and good drinks, which were both great in Staci's book. To say that Staci was a little disappointed would have been an understatement. But as it turned out, Kathy only got with Brian to get invitations to the Sigma Chi party and after she got those, she was done with him as well. The Sigma Chi brothers were known for their big house, big parties, and hot brothers, so that lessened Staci's disappointment a tad. She still would have rather gone to the Kappa party, but she would make the most of her night.

Staci hopped in her car and drove to Kathy's apartment. She would have rather met up with the girls at the party, but Kathy had the invites and she insisted that they all go together so that one of them could be the Designated Driver and the other girls could have a good night. Staci pulled into to an open spot down the street from the building and got out of her car, making sure to check her makeup before exiting the car. She strode towards the apartment buliding, enjoying the clack clack that her three inch heels were making on the pavement. She rarely wore heels, but when she did, she couldn't help but feel sexy. She knew she looked good that night, judging by the reaction of the guy running by Kathy's building. He nearly ran into a lamp post looking at her while he ran. She was wearing a pair of jeans that could double as a second layer of skin and a dark green halter top that accentuated her complexion as well as her breasts. She rang the bell and announced herself when Kathy used the intercom to check to see who it was. The buzzer sounded and she went inside to enjoy the company of her friends.

"I still can't believe we are going to this," Maia stated as they piled into Kathy's red Ford Explorer.

"I can't believe Kathy was able to get us all invitations," Staci replied, knowing that Kathy was just waiting for the opportunity to divulge how she managed to seduce a frat boy into bending to her will. At least, that was how all the rest of her stories went.

"It was nothing, Stace. Brian thought that the party could use a few more eligible females, now that I'm "off the market". Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't be partaking in the festivities tonight. I'm always on the lookout for a deal," Kathy winked at Maia, who was in the front passenger seat, and started the car.

"Poor Brian didn't know what he was getting himself into, did he?" Maia threw an inquisitive eyebrow Kathy's way.

"Honey, Brian was way out of his league and he knew it. He was lucky I took the time to remember his name. It would have worked out better if Q hadn't found out about us, but oh well. Now, Matthew Rosenbloom, he's right on my level and if he's at the party tonight, he's all mine." Kathy licked her lips in anticipation.

"Who's Matthew Rosenbloom?" Staci questioned.

"Only the most beautiful man this campus has ever seen! I heard that he was going to be on campus for alumni weekend, so I did a little investigating. Turns out he's staying with his old frat brothers and they are all supposed to be at this party tonight...which is where Brian comes in." Kathy exclaimed.

Staci laughed and got ready for a good time. She sat in the back with Felicia, Shannon, and Alexandria. She looked around the truck and realized that she was surrounded by beautiful women. How could she compare? She wasn't unattractive but she surely wasn't drop dead gorgeous like the rest of her friends.

Kathy was a natural blond with practically no body fat and striking green eyes that captivated men all over the campus. Maia was a petite Hmong girl who had a big heart and a great smile. She was born in the states, but her family had spent a few years in London before coming back to America. Men absolutely loved Maia's accent and it didn't hurt that she had a banging body to match. Staci often wished that she could have legs like Maia's, instead of the jello thighs she was graced with. Felicia and Lexi were twins with light brown hair and deep blue eyes. Their caramel complexions only served to enhance their beauty. If she ever gave up on Mr. Right and decided to hit on women instead, she would start with one of them. Most likely Lexi, because Felicia was a little too annoying for her tastes. Shannon was the quiet one of the group, but get a few drinks in her and she would become an instant chatter box. Staci smiled at her friend and wondered what it was that inevitably drew men to Shannon. Shannon looked over and smiled back. Ah, that's it. Shannon had dimples that complimented her genuine smile very nicely. Her nose was a bit long, but not unattractively so and her olive skin, blue-green eyes, and long dark hair made her the complete package. Wait, no...what made Shannon the complete package was her brain. Shannon took her GREs hung over and still only got three wrong. She had nearly a 4.0 GPA and was planning on becoming an astronomer in the future.

They pulled into a parking space that was near the party and made their way over. It was Lexi's turn to be the Designated Driver, so Kathy handed her the keys and went to find Brian...in order to break up with him. They arrived in front of the Sigma Chi house and Staci took in her surroundings. The party had already begun to spill outside the house and into the back by the pool. The Sigma's did know how to throw a party; Staci had to give them that. Once inside, she and the girls checked their coats and began to mingle. Staci hooked arms with Maia and whispered into her ear, "Make sure to save me from and slimy guys and I'll be sure to warn you when Marcus is prowling around." Maia laughed. Marcus was her ex-turned-stalker. It was obvious that he was one of those guys who never learned when to quit.

"Alright, you have a deal. And it looks like I get to go first. Anthony is trying to make his way over here. Consider this your 2 minute warning."

Remember Mr. Sleazy from the bar? Yeah, that's him. He was another one who didn't know how to give up. Staci and Maia made a quick escape stage left and ended up in the kitchen. The bartender for the night was Jesse, Staci's favorite frat boy.

"Staci! What's going on? I haven't seen you in a while. Were you in class on Friday?" Jesse exclaimed.

Staci thought his smile would wrap clear around his head if it could. Jesse was always smiling when Maia was around. Staci wished he'd just get on with asking her out.

"Hey, Puddin'. I was there, but I sat in the back. Abramowitz would have called on me otherwise and I totally didn't finish the reading." Mr. A was always calling on Staci, but she didn't know if it was because she always willing to share her opinions with the class or if it was some unrequited teacher's crush. The thought made her shudder. Mr. A? No way!

"Well, good. I was worried because you never miss Mr. A's class." Jesse continued to smile as he whipped up two rum and cokes. What could she say, Jesse knew what the woman liked and she wasn't about to complain.

"I didn't know you were going to be here, Puddin'. I would have thought you would have been at the Kode Red party tonight. You're still cool with the Kappas, aren't you?" Staci asked while she sipped on her drink.

"Yeah, I wish I could go, but I had agreed to be the bartender here before the date was set for the Kode Red party. Joe and Reggie begged me to do this and you know I can't turn those two down."

Staci giggled. "Well, I'll see you later, Jes. Make sure to get off duty in time to dance with us. What would a Sigma party be without dancing with my favorite frat boy?"

She walked off with Maia in tow and smiled to herself. "He's such a cutie, don't you think, Mai?"

Maia made a face. "Maybe if he didn't smile so much. He makes my face hurt just looking at him."

"He only does that when you're around. I promise he's a lot more interesting outside of the social scene." Staci laughed and winked at her friend. It was time to party!

A few drinks and lots of dancing later, Staci found herself wandering out to the pool. She took up residence in a comfy looking beach chair and relaxed. Maia had been stolen from her side by a handsome Omega Tau guy and Felicia and Kathy were nowhere to be seen. Shannon was getting her kicks dancing on a table in the dining room until Staci and Lexi pulled her off and Lexi decided to escort her home early. Staci wondered if Kathy had found her Matthew Rosenbloom and if she had run away with him to make babies and take all his money. She chuckled to herself and was startled to hear a voice coming from her left.

"I thought you were cute, but the way you twist up your mouth when you chuckle just proves me wrong....you're beautiful!"

The voice sounded smoother than melted chocolate and it made her heart beat just that much faster. Staci looked up at the owner of the voice and into a pair of warm grey eyes, but she detected a hint of blue in them as well. The eyes belonged to a very handsome man, one she wouldn't mind getting to know a little better. His sandy brown hair hung almost down to his shoulders and although he tried to keep it out of his face, some escaped and hung down into his eyes as he sat down beside her. His lips were on the thin side but his bottom lip protruded slightly further than the top one and it made her want to suck it into her mouth.

She felt her heartbeat quicken and reminded herself that he was just a man and only worth her time if he was a gentleman. His broad frame seemed to take up more space than she thought possible and wondered what it was that made her feel...surrounded by the man who sat before her. Staci's inner flirt, who Staci lovingly referred to as Sasha, decided to take over the dealings with this hunk of man before her.

"Why, thank you, stranger. It's nice to get a compliment every once in a while." Staci threw in a classic smile to let the hunk know that she was indeed flattered.

He smiled back at her and Staci thought that she was lucky she was sitting because her knees had just turned to jelly. The man was amazing. 'Keep it together, Staci. Keep it together,' she thought to herself.

"Stranger? Well, we will just have to fix that, won't we? My name is Matt. And yours is?"

Staci raised an eyebrow. 'It couldn't be.....could it?' she thought. Matt was a pretty common name, but it would be just her luck to have the one guy that should be off limits hitting on her. He was handsome and she could see him being described by Kathy as the most handsome man this campus had ever seen, although it was somewhat of an exaggeration. "The name is Anastacia, but I go by Staci..... Out of curiosity, what's your last name?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"So I can Google you and see what you've been up to. So I can look you up, get your number and prank call you. So when you break my heart, I know who to have the hired hitmen go after. So I can...."

"Ok ok ok. I get your point. It's Rosenbloom. My full name is Matthew Xavier Maxamillion Rosenbloom. I'm just thankful that the Maxamillion didn't come first and I'm not bragging about my last name either. It's unique, but it sounds so....snooty...snotty...you know what I'm talking about. And don't get me started on what my name could have been...I think my parents were high when they were picking out names."

Staci laughed and thought to herself that it was a plus that he had a sense of humor, dealing with Kathy for an extended period of time was taxing if you couldn't laugh it off. Sasha, the inner flirt, was just going to have to wait to get her flirt on another time because Kathy had already claimed this one. She continued to chuckle lightly, but immediately stopped when she caught the look that Matt was giving her. It was so lusty, intense, and full of desire. She was in trouble and she knew it. Staci did what came naturally to her in these situations, she tried to play it off. "What? Do I have something on my face? Tell me if I do, because letting me walk around with something on my face is crime enough to warrant hitmen coming after you. I have your full name now too."

Matt smiled and small crinkles could be seen at the corners of his eyes. As he leaned forward she noticed just how big his frame was. She was a sucker for larger men with six packs and big arms. She noticed that Matt's arms seemed big enough to engulf her, which made her wonder about the rest of his body. How he would feel beneath her hands as she rubbed him all over? Oh, yes, she was in trouble now. She shook her head to bring her back to reality. Matt was still smiling at her, but he was closer now. He spoke with his voice barely above a whisper. "You don't have anything on your face, but if you keep laughing you'll end up in my arms and on your back."

Staci's eyes widened and then she steeled her expression into her patented smirk that she saved for assholes just like Matt. "I don't know where you get off, but this is my stop. Thanks for the chat, but I really must be going. I don't have time for losers or assholes and unfortunately for you, you fit into both those categories. Later." And with that, Staci stood and marched back into the house. The nerve of that guy. She wondered who he thought that line was going to work on. Maybe it would work on some girl ready to throw herself at him, but not her. It was going to take a lot more than a pretty face and a voice that would make Barry White jealous to get Anastacia Jones on her back.

Matt sat back in his chair and laughed to himself. He had been watching her all night and seeing the way her body moved as she swayed and danced to the music drove him crazy. He was looking for an opportunity to talk to her and once he had one, he blew it. He couldn't believe he came on so strong so quickly, but there was something about Staci that made him eager, almost hungry. Eager for what? He didn't know, but he was sure whatever it was would start with a kiss. Her lips looked so soft and kissable, especially when she smiled or laughed. Even her smirk made him want to grab her and kiss her senseless. He was in trouble. He was crazy for a girl who no longer wanted anything to do with him and he only had the weekend to convince her otherwise. After the weekend, he'd have to go back to work and work didn't allow much time for party hopping or girl chasing. Good thing alumni weekend was a long one; he'd probably need the extra day.

Staci walked in and straight to the bar. There was only one thing that would take her mind off that jerk and he was working the bar tonight. Jesse turned just has she walked up. He gave her a smile and held up a finger. He was still making a drink for someone else. When he was finished, he sauntered over and leaned on the bar. "What can I do for you, sweetness?"

Staci sighed and began to tell Jesse about her night so far. He laughed when she recounted her exact words to Matt. When she finished, Jesse cocked his head to the side and gazed at her. "Hmmm. I know what will cheer you up. Another drink....after we dance. I mean, what's a Sigma Chi party if I can't be seen with the most beautiful girl at the party?"

Staci laughed and thought to herself that Maia must have left with that other guy because she knew that she was number two on Jesse's short list of "the most beautiful women". He was just as picky as she was when it came to women and fortunately for him, he had good taste. They made their way to the dance floor after Jesse found someone to take over bartending. Staci hadn't noticed what he was wearing from behind the bar, but she was pleased that he had made the effort to look nice that night. His strawberry blond hair was spiked up on the top and his shirt brought out the blue of his eyes.

His football player build had first attracted Staci to him, but his personality was what made them such good friends. There wasn't any chemistry between them, but that didn't mean that she couldn't have her hunky friend grind against her every once in a while. She liked making the other girls jealous. Jesse settled his hands on her hips from behind her and began to sway in the clocklike manner that a lot of guys used. Back and forth, back and forth, until suddenly Jesse changed it up and quickly turned her around. He spun her out, brought her back and then dipped her, before returning her to her previous position. Staci was laughing and gasping for breath by then.

She turned to look at Jesse. "Where did that come from?"

"I'm taking social dance lessons. I thought I'd throw a little swing your way and see what you thought."

"Jesse, you continue to surprise me. But, next time, give a girl some warning won't you? I was afraid I was going to break my ankle flying all over the place in these heels."

Jesse laughed and they danced a few more songs. Staci saw that it was about time to call it a night and went off in search of Lexi. Staci found her at the rendezvous point along with Felicia and a very put out Kathy.

"Hey ladies, great party, huh?" Staci asked as she walked up to the group. She waited

to hear what Kathy would say, because by now she was able to read her friend's expressions quite well. The girl was ready to burst with a rant of some kind.

Kathy continued to pout for a second until she launched into a tirade about how Brian was in the midst of hooking up with a "brazen hussy" named Summer and how she had to yank her out of the room by her bleached blond hair before officially calling it off with Brian. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, Matt Rosenbloom had ignored her like she was yesterday's news. She had heard that he was looking for something new, but she guessed that rumor was false. Kathy looked like she was on the verge of tears. Staci wasn't sure if it was because of Brian or because of Matt, but one thing was for sure, that Matt was a heartbreaker. She made the right decision by writing him off as a loser. Staci gave Kathy a sympathetic look and assured her that both Matt and Brian were dumbasses and not worthy of her time, like any good friend would.

Kathy looked at her, "Brian for sure, but Matt? I was so sure about Matt."

"Believe me, hun, if there's anyone not worth your time, it's Matt Rosenbloom."

Kathy threw her a skeptical glance. "How would you know?"

Staci smirked, "Is Matt about 6'3", sandy brown hair, grayish-blue eyes, nice build, and the sign above his head that flashes 'I think I'm God's gift to women.' with an arrow pointing down at him?"

Kathy smiled slightly and nodded, so Staci continued. "Well, we met. And believe me, the man may be gorgeous, but you are way out of his league. He may have had that sign above his head, but he had 'Tool' written all over his back. Seriously, I saw the post-it notes myself." The girls laughed, but their laughter was short lived. A figure stepped out of the shadows cast by a near by bush.

"I was wondering who put those there. I figured it was you, Staci." The smooth voice made Staci shiver, but the owner of the voice made her quake with anger. Staci had once again donned her smirk and turned to look at Matt with disapproval.

"I would appreciate it if you stopped sneaking up on me, Matt. I don't like having to take out the trash more than once. Get the point and go home." Staci's voice dripped with venom and she was pretty sure that if looks could kill Matt would be riddled with holes. He was getting glares from all four of them.
