"Ah my lovely babies," Mother cooed, stroking our hair, kissing our cheeks and lips. "Mommy does love you so!" We collapsed into my mother's wet warmth, our moist skins pressed against each other, our breathing heavy. Liam and I avoided meeting eyes, but we stayed there, at peace in our mother's madness, letting her stroke and whisper, bringing us along with her into her unique little world.
