Flori shook her head. "No my darling. I know Ms. Gia's scent. This is someone else and I smell gunpowder."

Fee cocked her head. "I smell that too."

Ben tried to stand up again but the vampire pushed him back down.

"Flori let me see what's going on."

"No. You are mortal. You could get hurt easily. Let me handle this." Flori ordered.

Ben got up again but this time he dodged Flori's hand.

"It's okay. I'll be fin-"

The doorbell rang. Everyone stopped where they were. Another ring. Ben walked to the door then paused. He turned back to the ladies and looked at them.

"Fee change into actual clothes and Flori go put pants on. Please." Ben said.

Both of them complied with his wishes. Fee began to spin and Flori flitted away. Ben walked up to the door took a breath and opened it.

What stood before him was a beautiful Middle Eastern woman in a dark grey power suit. She looked like a government worker. She had the look of no nonsense on her face.

"Benjamin Parker?" The woman asked.

Ben swallowed hard. "Um yes?"

The woman pulled something from her pocket and brought it up to Ben's face. It was a badge. She was definitely a government lady.

"Mr. Parker, I'm Agent Maya Yamin with D.O.S.A. . I'd like to talk to you for a minute."

Agent Yamin walked into the house without an invitation from Benjamin. She strutted confidently and quickly into the living room of his home. Fee was no longer there and Flori was still downstairs.

"Uh wah... what is going on?" Ben stuttered.

Agent Yamin turned toward him as he closed the door behind him. Ben was able to take a second and get a good look at her. Maya Yamin was middle eastern and maybe in her early 30s. Her caramel skin tone was only enhanced with her chestnut brown hair and eyes. She was the same height as him with her stilettos on. They were dark grey and matched her power suit she had on. Even with the blazer Ben could tell she had an amazing body. She was definitely in shape.

"Mr. Parker I would like to ask you a few questions." Agent Yamin announced. She had a folder in one of her hands.

Benjamin was already getting pretty nervous. "Oh ok. I mean it's kinda late isn't it?"

"I apologize for the inconvenience but I must insist. It's urgent that I ask these questions."

Ben winced with discomfort. "Ummm okay. Sure let's do it."

Agent Maya seemed happy with that answer. "Good, let's start off with basic identification questions and then get to the actual questioning."

Ben just nodded. "Ummm before you begin can I offer you coffee or tea or water?"

"Yes coffee sounds good. Thank you." She answered.

"Okay give me a few minutes." Ben walked to his room leaving the agent standing going over whatever was in her folder.

Ben stepped into his room, reached his drawer, and picked out some clothes to change into. He was wearing a T-shirt and shorts at the moment.

"I know it's my home and but it feels weird to be this casual with a government agent here. I'll wear something decent." Ben thought to himself.

He pulled off his shirt and began to do the same with his shorts when a whoosh startled him. The chocolate guy turned around to the vampire standing before him. She had put on some jean shorts but kept the loose tank top on.

"Flori what are you doing in here?" Ben whispered.

"I am here checking on you. Who is that woman? Do you need help in getting rid of her." The vampire asked.

"No I think it's fine... and can you stop threatening everyone?" Ben queried.

Flori rolled her eyes. "Sure darling. I thin-"

Suddenly a small ball of light came from under the door. It flew around and floated in the air between Ben and Flori.

There was a bright flash and human sized Fee ended up standing there.

The fairy's wings were fluttering aggressively.

"Benjamin what is that sun lady doing here?" Fee asked.

Ben was confused. "Sun lady? You mean the agent?"

Flori rolled her eyes again. "Yes the agent. She called her sun lady because of her nationality. Africans, Most Middle Easterns, Mexicans, Indians, and other South Asians are believed to be from the sun according to fairies."

"Oh that's interesting." Ben said happily.

"Not really." Flori grumbled.

Ben turned to Fee. "So I'm a Sun person?" He found the pair of jeans he wanted and slipped them on.

Fee pondered for a second. "I don't know what you are. I'm not getting a Sun vibe from you."

Ben found that weird but before he had time to think about it Flori stepped up to him.

"What are we gonna do about the woman? I've been around awhile. Government agents showing up to your house is never a good sign." The vampire asked.

Ben took a deep breath. The best way to get rid of someone in law enforcement was to make it as easy as possible so that can go on about their business. He knew that.

"I'm going to go out there and answer her questions and then she will leave. Easy."

"And us?" Fee whispered.

"You guys are gonna stay here and wait for me to return. I have to go I've already been gone too long. I don't want her to be suspicious."

Ben walked past the two supernatural creatures to his door. Halfway out the door, he stopped and looked back at his roommates. Fee smiled and waved and Flori nodded slightly. Ben closed the door behind him and went to the living room where the agent was waiting.

Ben sat on the couch and nervously waited for the agent to ask him questions. The agent was sitting on the loveseat facing him and was going through the papers that were in her file. He took a sip of the coffee he had made for the both of them about five minutes ago.

Agent Maya Yamin quickly sorted her papers and when it seemed like she was satisfied she sat back and looked at Benjamin.

She spoke after a long sixty seconds.

"Like I said before I'm gonna ask you some very easy basic questions first. Is that alright?" She inquired.

"uh uh yes that's fine. What's after the easy questions?" Ben asked.

"We will get to that." She answered flatly.

"Your name is Benjamin Grey Parker correct?"

"Yes." He answered quickly.

"And you were born on November 18, 1992...Which makes you.." Agent Maya checked her notes. "...25?"

"26."

"Are you an American citizen?"

"I believe so."

"You believe so? Do you not know?"

"Yes I am. I'm an American citizen."

"You sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure. I have my birthday certificate and driver's license if you want to see them."

The agent shook her head. "No. That won't be necessary."

"Ok..." Ben said nervously.

The brown beauty shifted in her seat. She threw one leg over the other and continued.

"How long have you been at this residence?"

"At least six years. Give or take a year."

"And the neighborhood?"

"What about it?"

"How is it?"

"It's good. Peaceful and quiet."

Agent Maya smiled. "That's good. So no trouble ever? No break-ins or anything of the sort?"

Ben's eyes shifted to the window. He thought of Fee.

"Nope. No break-ins."

"Hmm." The serious woman raised an eyebrow. Ben was nervous he'd given himself away but she quickly went on to the next question.

"How about your neighbors?"

"Well I really only have like one. Ms. Gia."

"And what's Ms. Gia like?"

"Uhh nice, sweet. Really your typical elderly neighbor."

This time it was Agent Maya's turn to look out the window.

"Typical. Right." She muttered.

Agent Maya uncrossed her legs and leaned toward Benjamin.

"I apologize if my next few questions are a little difficult."

Ben took a breath. He had a feeling he knew where this was going.

"Do you know a woman named Ashlyn Moon?" The agent asked.

"Yes. I met her in high school, we begin dating and went to college together. We got this house together."

"And?"

"And what?"

Agent Maya sighed. "Look Benjamin. I understand this might be painful for you but I need you to cooperate. I don't wish you any discomfort."

Ben was beginning to get agitated. "She died okay?! We lived together for a while then she got sick and died. Is that what you want to hear."

She looked down. "Okay thank you. Now just a few more que-"

"How about I ask you a few questions!? Who are you and why are you here and what the hell is D.O.S.A.?" Ben asked angrily.

Agent Yamin stood up and paced around for a few seconds.

"Fine. I can verify that you are who you say you are. So... let's get to why I'm here."

She stopped pacing then looked Benjamin dead in the eye. "D.O.S.A. is the Department of Supernatural Affairs."

Ben's anger went away as quickly as his mouth dropped. It felt like his heart dropped into his stomach. He was suddenly nervous and shaking again.

"S-supernatural affairs?" Ben pretending not to understand.

Agent Maya squinted her eyes at him. "Yes. It's a real department and I'm very serious."

Ben looked towards his room then back to the "Sun lady".

"So supernatural like werewolves and witches?" Ben scoffed.

She looked at him with a bemused look on her face.

"Yes actually. Among other things." She said.

Ben shook his head. "Even if I believed you.. why are you at my home? What do you want from me?"

She walked over to the love seat and sat down. She pulled more papers out of the folder and produced two photos and laid them side by side. Ben's eyes looked at the two pictures and he began to panic.

One of the pictures were of a beautiful grey skinned woman. He had seen the picture before, a little more than a month ago, when Flori Sange first made contact with him. The other picture was of a cute redhead with a big smile. Her emerald green eyes glowed even in the picture. Fee. Ben knew he was in a lot of trouble but he didn't know how much she knew.

Agent Maya watched as Ben looked at both pictures. She watched his reactions and microexpressions as he stared dumbly at the photos. She always liked doing this. She would sweat them out and see how long it would take until they cracked.

This one was a little different though. He didn't try very hard to hide his emotions or reactions. Even when he went to the bedroom, she noted he made more attempts to keep is roommates from moving or talking. She still smiled. She had him now.

"Have you seen either of these two women before Mr. Parker?" She asked.

Ben looked pale. "Uhh. No I can't say I have."

"Please take a careful look. I need you to be sure." She insisted.

"I don't know them." He was avoiding her gaze.

"Mr Parker-"

"It's Benjamin. Or Ben."

Maya cleared her throat. "Benjamin. I have a report here." She shuffled through her papers until he found the right one. "From an EMT about a month ago. Says you were knocked unconscious and we're bleeding. Interestingly enough when they arrived and examined you, you had no wound. Just your blood."

"Yeah it was weird but I was cleared."

"Yes you were. What I want to know is how?"

"I'm not exactly sure."

The young agent rubbed her chin. "Hmm. Benjamin can I tell you about something?"

"Sure go ahead."

Agent Maya took the photo of the grey woman away but left the redhead there.

"Are you familiar with fairies?" She asked plainly.

Ben appeared to be taken back. She was expecting this. "Fairies? Like actual... like Tinkerbell?"

"Hmm. Not exactly. They are magical creatures. They have many abilities. One of them is appearing to be the size of a normal human. In actuality they are about 4-6 inches tall. Fairies also have vast healing abilities and can charm people." She explained.

"Wow." Ben said. Trying not to sound too shocked. "That's insane."

"Yeah. Anyway, we believe this woman-" Maya puts a finger on the photo of the redhead. "-is a fairy."

Ben's hands were moving and fidgeting a lot. Maya continued to watch him carefully. She continued.

"Fairies are powerful creatures but mostly peaceful."

She took away the photo of the fairy and replaced it with the grey woman.

"Now this one. She is dangerous. Do you wanna guess what she is?"

Ben finally looked up at her. She could see the fear in his eyes. Like a kid caught with his hand in the jar. Yet, he still continued to play ignorant.

"I have no idea." He said quietly.

Agent Maya was beginning to get annoyed. She was ready to get on with this.

"It's a vampire."

She waited to see his reaction. His eyes immediately dropped to the floor. She could see he was losing the will to pretend.

She also knew the vampire was in his room at the moment and that the fairy was in the vent close to the ceiling behind her.

"A vampire?" He questioned weakly.

The agent cocked her head. "Yes. A vampire. Sucks all your blood. Powerful dark creatures of the night. Very dangerous. They have an ability to persuade humans into doing things they want."

A bang came from the back of the house. It made Ben startle but Agent Maya Yamin didn't move. He had been almost drained by a vampire before but nothing was scarier than the woman before him.

She just looked at Ben. "What was that?"

Ben was starting to feel dizzy. It was obvious she knew about his two roommates and was playing him to see when he would squeal. A part of him wanted to just spill it all out but another part of him was still willing to play ignorant. He wasn't concerned about himself as much as what would happen to Fee and Flori. What would DOSA do to them?

"I-I don't know. Maybe the house shifting?" Ben said with no confidence.

The government lady did not seem satisfied with his answer.

"Benjamin. Let's cut to the chase. As I've said, I work in a secret government department that keeps track of and locates supernatural things. We know for the past month you have been living with two supernatural creatures. A vampire and a fairy. Do you deny that?"

Ben looked down. "No."

"Thank you. Benjamin these two individuals are undocumented in our system and that poses a problem."

She paused to collect her thoughts for a minute.

"But. The more immediate problem is your relationship with them? Why are you rooming with them and is it under duress?"

A very powerful, very quick gust of wind came from the hallway and stopped next to Benjamin. A ball of light came from above them and rested on his shoulder.

Flori and Fee stared at the agent angrily.

"We are not keeping him under duress!" Flori hissed.

"Yeah Benjamin is our friend." Fee squeaked.

Agent Maya did not flinch. She simply looked at the two of them and then back to Ben.

"Benjamin?" She asked.

Ben sighed. It was time to tell the truth.

"Yes I have been living with a vampire and fairy for the past month. Flori came first and offered to be my roommate. At the time I did not know she was a vampire. It was when we-"

Ben paused. He did not know if he should be telling this woman that he had a sexual relationship with a vampire. He knew it wouldn't look good but he had already decided to tell the whole truth.

"When we were having sex, she revealed herself and attempted to drink from me."

Agent Maya scooted up in her seat.

"The vampire" She looked at Flori. "tired to drink from you?"

"Yeah but she didn't. I stopped her and-"

"You stopped her? Without violence or anything? How?" Agent Maya asked with extreme disbelief.

"I'm still not sure. I have some sort of pull over her. Magical energy."

The agent's interest had reached its peak. She pulled out a phone from her pocket and dialed a number.

"Yeah it's me. Bring it in please." Then she hung up.

"They are coming in with a machine that can test your magical aura. We will see if this is true."

Ben looked toward the window and door. "There are more of you?"

Agent Maya nodded. "I have an entire team ready to deal with you and the two creatures."

That scared Ben. "That's not necessary. I will tell you everything. Truthfully."

Agent Maya smiled. "Then please continue."

Ben told the entire events of what happened to him since the day he got the letter from Flori. He left no detail out even all of the sexual activity. While he was telling the story, a man came in with a machine that looked like a blood pressure test. He checked Benjamin's magic aura, wrote down some, and handed it to the agent and left.

After Benjamin was finished he sat back and remained still. Flori was sitting next to him on the couch with her red eyes on the agent and Fee was sitting on his shoulder still. He watched Agent Maya process it all. After what seemed like an eternity she spoke.

"Well, it seems like you are telling the truth. From my results here your magic energy is unlike anything we've seen before."

Ben looked at Flori with an uncertain look then back to the agent. "So you believe me?"

Agent Maya sighed. "Yes I believe you. I believe everything you told me happened to you. The fact is we've encountered a human that could control a vampire before."

"Well I don't really control her. Most of the time she's doing whatever she wants. I've controlled her only twice since I've known her." Ben replied.

Flori rolled her eyes. "He's not my master. That's the little ones belief."

Fee smiled at the mention of her and nodded her head.

"Right." The powersuited woman muttered. "Well then you are good to go Benjamin. We just need to take the two with us back to HQ."

Ben from the millionth time this evening panicked again. "Whoa what? What do you mean take them?"

Flori eyes began to glow red again. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Ditto!" said Fee.

"Agent Yamin. You can't take them away. They live here!" Ben exclaimed.

"Please call me Maya. And yes I can and must. It's DOSA protocol that we register and move all magical creatures to our site."

"I'm not going into a cage!" The vampire growled.

"It's not a cage. We take care of you there." Maya proposed.

"I can take care of them here." Ben fired back.

"Oh really? Keeping Flori underground all day? Feeding off you? What about Fee? Do you even know what she eats? You've been giving her human food correct?" She will grow weak without the right nutrients. You aren't taking care of them. We can."

Ben felt awful but knew she was right. He had no idea how to take care of them or give them what they need. He liked them a lot but it wasn't worth it if they were in danger.

Flori didn't seem to care though.

"I'm not going anywhere. I agreed to be his roommate and that's what I'm going to do." She said confidently.

"Yeah!" Fee hollered.

Maya sighed and stood up. "Guys I understand this isn't what you want but it needs to be done. I don't want to have to use force."

Fee glowed up. "Try it!"

Ben had been thinking hard while the fight was boiling up then he had an idea.

"Wait wait wait! I have an idea!" Ben yelled. "Fee stop. Flori calm down."

Flori's eyes immediately stopped glowing and she sat back on the couch. Fee calmed down as well. Agent Maya had a puzzled look on her face.

"What exactly is your plan?" She asked.

Ben took a breath. He knew he had to sell this to Maya. If not he would more than likely be saying goodbye to Flori and Fee. He didn't want to do that. Maybe it was selfish of him but he didn't care. He had grown to like them and he wasn't about to let them go easily.

"What if I house them?"

Maya was confused. "Aren't you already doing that?"

"Yeah well I mean under you. Under DOSA. I can be a housing for these two and you guys can make it easier for me to take care of them. I can quit my job and work for you full time. That was everyone gets what they want. You can register them and they can stay here." Ben explained.

Agent Maya looked at him to see if he was serious.

"Are you serious? That's your plan?" She asked.

Ben was serious. "Yes. I am serious. If you really help supernatural creatures let me do the same. This house is solid and with your government modifications it can be better. I can learn how to take care of them."
