All they knew was that right now, in a soft bed in a small cabin, on a piece of the most beautiful land that God had ever created, they were safe and sated and content in each other's arms. They had survived sadness and loss, but had been given another chance at happiness.....with each other. As they fell asleep that night, their last thoughts were of gratitude. Gratitude for the gift they'd been given.....the gift of a new beginning....together.
