New Job Pt. 02

I didn't say anything and just slowly left her office looking at my watch to see how much time I had to prepare for this. I was supposed to be at the house at 6:30 and it was now a little past noon. My stomach grumbled. The first thing I needed was food so I headed out of the agency and almost forgot to say goodbye to Kayla in my rush.

"Hey you," she said.

"Oh hi, sorry I'm a bit preoccupied Kayla," I said.

"Big appointment tonight I know," she said. "Good luck and thanks for earlier, I really enjoyed it. If you want to hook up outside of work I'm good with that."

"Sure.....I'll call or see ya when I come in. I've got to head out now though," I said, a little stunned.

She smiled, "Okay cool Brian. I'll talk to you later and I hope I didn't get you into trouble."

"No not really, Jenny's cool. See ya and I really enjoyed earlier too," I said and headed out the door and to my car.

I deposited my tip from Mrs. Bergoin, grabbed food through a drive up window and headed back to my house to eat and try and grab a nap before my next appointment.
