"No it's not," she said with a smile and turned to face Antony. "Before I agree to this plan, I need you to make a promise."
"Is this about a wedding?" Antony asked.
"No," Gloria answered with a grin. "I trust you to do the right thing. If she's your mate, then I trust that you will act nobly."
"Whatever you ask, I will do," he said solemnly.
"I'm asking you to repeat a promise that you made to me many years ago," Gloria said with tears shining in her eyes. "Promise me that you will protect her. Please keep her safe."
