JimF69over 2 years agoMs. Parker has effectively conveyed realistic feelings on the part of a wife who does not want to do the things that her husband wants her to do. The author is also very convincing in describing her husband as a man who seems to be oblivious that his fantasies, when acted out, are corrosive to his wife’s sense of wondering if he really loves, honors and cherished her.
