Chelsea whimpered. "I believe you,Baby. I believe you." She moved in to kiss Jason.

"Chelsea Pollack! I told you. You are not to see this boy anymore." Janet grabbed Chelsea by the waist and pulled. "You killer! Stay away from my daughter!"

"No Mom, he didn't do it!" Chelsea's arms were now making a futile attempt to grab any part of Jason she could.

"Ms. Pollack, wait!" Jason ran after them, but collided with his father, putting Jason on one knee while Tim staggered back a few steps from the impact.

"Son, we need to talk."

"But Dad..," Jason was desperate.

"No buts, Jason." Tim was adamant. "We're going to wait here a few minutes so they can leave, then we're going home and you will tell us your side of the story."

Having Chelsea’s mother go off the rails…

…and accuse Jason without evidence just to place an obstacle in the young lover’s way is lazy writing.

Chelsea's mom is behaving like a complete moron. Terrible writing. Why would her assumption be that her boyfriend, who is clearly in love with her, changed her pills? He doesn't even know about her damn pills. No questions are asked. Just unlikely assumptions and threats to get the lawyer. Very cringe.

Started out good in part 1. Now it's just getting dumb.
