We left the lawyer's office with a bit of a jaunt to our step. It seems Mom and Dad were doing much better than we thought. Dad sold their house just before he drove himself and Mom into the bridge, so they didn't have any non-cash assets. Everything was ready and waiting for our signatures. Thanks, Dad. Love you. Even with the nieces and nephews and whatnots, Jesse and I will walk away with a cool $1.2 million each.

It's nice to have one of those guys with your name on his sign waiting for you at the airport. McCarran airport, gateway to excitement, the official entrance to Las Vegas, Nevada. The tall young man with his sign saying "Havenkamp" fooled my sister.
"That's us?"
"Don't you watch movies, dear?" I chided her. She didn't get it.
As we checked into Caesar's the desk gal called us Mr. and Mrs. Adams. We smirked at each other. Hey, it is our last name, easy to make that assumption. Although we look like newlyweds, not old-timers.
In our room, I made a phone call.
"Jennifer, hi! Didn't know if we'd get you. This is Steven, with my sister Jesse... yes from last week... yes we're back in town... well, we would love to see you, too!... how about dinner here at Caesar's, our treat... See you at eight, then!"
Had to make one more call, though.
"Ming. It's Steven. Fuck you too." I looked at Jess, she was incredulous. "Yeah, that's not gonna happen... because I quit... I'm going to live here in Vegas... Yeah, I'm all done with you too..."
"Ming... Ming?"
