Some comments say too slow, some say too fast. It’s like you can’t please anyone. I thought it was just right. The tease, the buildup, the anticipation, the frustration of waiting for opportunity, wrapped in teen angst. Such a deliciously exciting story. Five Stars!
ausvirgoover 2 years agoThe story could have moved more slowly, with more sexual suspense/anticipation.
Mind you, I'm not saying that I didn't love it anyway. The rapid progression is pretty much consistent with the conservative religious background and with her already having a crush on him. Even the apparent lack of concern about him coming in her is - I had a former girlfriend who was brought up by conservative religious parents and was a single mother. She went to an all girls Catholic school up to year 10, and by midway through year 11 half of the girls in her year 10 class were pregnant! Oh, and when she was pregnant her parents tried to have her committed so that they could force her to have an abortion before everyone found out she was pregnant - apparently their reputation was more important than their religious values. They also almost called off her sister's wedding because they caught her fiance with his hand up her skirt!

Couple of points though:
1) You need an editor, or at least a proofreader.
2) If you're going to have a studious character who apparently gets good marks say that he'd been held back, you should give a reason. Did he miss a lot of school one year because of being sick? Alternatively, instead of having had him held back he could have been just under a year older than his sister, and just missed the cutoff age the year before they both started school.
