Lily stared at the woman in confusion while trying to wash the cum and embarrassment from herself in the spring. The woman was in more need of a bath than Lily, even after that smattering of cum. She was covered in dirt and blood.
"It's not nice to peep on a lady, Gwen." Breya said playfully.
"Well you're no lady and I'm not nice." Gewn said as she peeled an apple with a dagger.
"I assume it was successful based on the fresh apple we didn't have before." Breya asked raising an eyebrow. Lily was confused.
"That, or I stopped at the market on the way home from having a drink and a woman." Gwen said with a sly smile. Breya stood and made her way out of the spring.
"Well based on the amount of blood you are covered with either the woman was bleeding or the auctioneer was. Either way it probably wasn't a fun night." Breya said. Lily was still confused, but she laughed at the game of words they were playing with each other.
"Yes, if it were the woman it would have been disappointing, but it was the auctioneer, and every night is a good night when I can give the God of Blood drink." Gwen smiled. Lily's amusement was gone. As she said that sentence the torch that illuminated the cave went out and the water ran cold. Lily noticed Gwen's hair wasn't the only thing that was blood red. In the darkness, Lily saw two piercing blood red eyes glowing from underneath the woman's hood.
"Gwen, enough with your magic. You're going to scare the girl." Breya said sternly.
"You are right." Gwen said, and as she did the torch lit back up and her eyes no longer glowed. "My humblest apologies Lady Lilian" Gwen said as she bowed low. It didn't appear as if she were making fun of Lily or Breya, but something else made Lily's blood run even colder.
"How did you know my name?" Lily asked. Gwen had never even heard her be called Lily. Let alone Lilian.
"A Child of Blood knows these things." Was all she said before continuing her conversation with Breya.
"The auctioneer was dealt with simply enough, as were his two guards. But I got sloppy. I let myself get taken by surprise when I had assumed the two guards were his only guards. We should leave tonight. I put on quite the performance dispatching the other guards." Gwen said, back to cutting her apple.
"Were you followed? Are we in danger?" Breya asked immediately. It was like she instantly shifted into a different person than Lily knew in the pool. She was once again that savage paranoid woman who beat a man almost to death with her bare hands.
"No, we are safe here. Nobody would dare follow even if they knew where to go. But it will be a pain in the ass to get through town during the day, and the longer we wait the more courage people will have to go looking." Gwen said with a weary tone.
"Then it's fine for tonight. I'm sure Lily is tired and wants to rest, and you could use a bath, you are covered in dirt and blood." Breya said. Gwen let out a velvety chuckle. By this time both Lily and Breya had gotten out of the spring and put on some clothes.
"Since when do you care about what I need." Gwen said playfully. "But Lily, that reminds me. I think I found your... Camera." Gwen said pausing and sounding out the word as if she was trying to recall what it was called. "And I'm sure you can find clothes that are appropriate to adventure in amongst all that auctioneers shit." Gwen added as she gestured over shoulder with her dagger.
...
It was just as the mysterious pale woman said. Her camera was found among the auctioneer's possessions, as well as some more appropriate clothes that fit her well enough, and even a dagger that Gwen gave to her.
Gwen said it would be good for many things, but mostly to protect herself. Not that she said Lily would have to with her and Breya around, but just in case. Still, Lily had a lot on her mind as she looked through the dead man's stuff. She didn't care that much about the auctioneer. He had been a piece of shit that sold her for money, and she had a lot more important things on her mind.
She looked at the camera and thought about her situation. She feared it, but she would figure it out. She was determined. Her situation was uncertain. Currently she was holed up in a cave with an Amazon and what she could only assume was a demon based on what she had seen her do in the spring. Both had committed extreme acts of violence earlier in the day, and she had no idea where or when she was.
But ever the optimist, Lily rationalized it all. She had a magic camera that took her away from her unfulfilling life at home. Breya turned out to be a kind and protective person. The amazing orgasm helped quite a lot to. She had never felt like that even with Sam. Regarding Gwen, she might have been the scariest thing Lily had ever seen but, but it was also one of the coolest things she had ever seen. Lily was excited to learn about her, and it appeared both women did what they did to help her.
So, Lily didn't feel any immediate danger if she was with them. In fact, she felt protected, like she had time to figure things out. Her top priority was finding Sam. Lily had to show her the world with this camera once she figured it out.
Lily yawned and walked into the cave after looking out at the stars. The night sky was beautiful, and despite her situation she was excited for the coming day. Lily looked at the two women around the fire. Gwen had bathed and was laying on a makeshift bed. She no longer had her hood on. She was remarkably beautiful. Breya sat sharpening a sword. It was an ornate sword she had found amongst the auctioneer's belongings. Lily noticed it was far too small for Breya.
"Gwen made a bed, and I assume she left the spot next to her open for you. She's odd like that. Might as well take it because I will be up on watch in case the towns people are feeling brave and come after Gwen." Breya said, not looking up from the sword. Enraptured in her task.
Lily laid down next to Gwen. She knew it was naïve and dangerous, but she trusted her despite the horror show in the spring. Lily was content. She had what she always wanted. A camera, companions, and a mystical world at her fingertips that was all hers to explore. The only thing missing was Samantha.
This was great, honestly the first multi chapter (I hope it will be anyway) series that I’ve actually been invested in reading all the way. There are so many things I can’t wait to find out about. Thank you for writing this! I’m excited for the next chapter!
This was a great start to this story and think it could use a little more editing, but It's not bad and I like where you're taking this story, you could take it into any direction you want to to be honest. Surprise us because I don't know who she's going to fall for first or if she's going to fall for both of them.
A couple of examples of mistakes which 'slipped through the cracks':
1. Unless the character had just eaten a worm, she had 'bated breath', not 'baited breath'.
2. At one point, you write that Lily 'inhaled her (Sam's) 'sent'. I believe that you meant 'scent'.
