Though it was a massive revelation, nothing changed Priya's mind or Priya's heart about her lover and best friend. She understood why Inari had kept it secret and why she never told anyone. Everyone else had gone off to bed, while Korsa, Shazza and Natalya stayed in the lounge. They sat there, bantering back and forth some ideas about how they would seduce the Commodore to what they wanted. They had thrown many an idea back and forth, with no real consensus about how they would accomplish it.
"You know, we should talk to Kas about this, before we form plans," Korsa mentioned.
"I know mama, but some of these ideas we've brought up would be ones that Kas would be on board with," Natalya protested.
"Still, even those many of these ideas are fun, we should make our first priority on how to bring Kasumi on board," Korsa said with a finality that Natalya wouldn't protest against.
"I have an idea on how to bring Kasumi into it," Shazza said with a smile and a glint in her eye.
"Oh? Please, share with us," Nats replied.
Shazza did just that, sharing her idea with both women. They seemed dubious at first, but soon, devilish smiles wormed their way onto their faces. It was risky and could backfire in any number of ways. But, if it worked, then everything would go their way without a doubt.

And this is where it ends folks, at least until next month! Things are getting heated and promising for everyone there as their time on Talemkha draws to a close. Yes, you read that right, it's nearly time for the crew of the Perseus to leave and explore the galaxy at large!
What's going to happen with the crew? How will they get out into the galaxy? What kind of hijinks will they get up to? For all of those answers, you will simply have to wait until I write about them and what happens to everyone, while they are out there, exploring!
I will say one little thing about the adventures I have planned for them. Think about how open world Skyrim and every other Elder Scrolls game was and apply that to the galaxy as a whole. That is how big and how vast the scope of my imagination is! Open world galaxy, where you will go anywhere and do anything you want!

Will they be able to construct any number of war fleet vessels but minus a few items, like power cores, until the Darkstrider returns with a few key components / materials? Will Shazza recall a few more tidbits on the Power to help them figure things out? Well, we have questions, will the author give us answers, or cliffhangers? stay tuned, ... ;-) TTFN

As far as finding an editor is concerned, I am still doing all of this myself. Not because I have lack of trust in people, but because I know so very few people who would do something like this.
Finding someone who would edit stories such as mine, on top of keeping things as they are, is difficult, to say the least. On top of which, because of how quickly my mind processes things, I almost always expect people to move at the same pace I do, even though I know it's a ridiculous thing to expect. I did just purchase a top end editing program, which is far superior the one I was using before, so that will certainly help things in that department.
Thanks for catching that continuity error and I will endeavor to fix it straight away! I also am in the middle of reworking every chapter I have ever written and will resubmit them as I go along. It will take time before each one is finished, as I am still busy writing this story, Gaia's Champion and Tales of the Wastelander, which is a story I keep for my patrons;)
None of these stories have an end in sight, at least not for another hundred chapters or so. As far as the colonists go, with the amount of food that is aboard the ship, waking the colonists, even in small batches, would be a futile endeavor, as the food would run out quickly and there is limited space aboard the Perseus. Rest assured, they will be awoken in due time and as far as battle fleets being crewed is concerned, I have a game plan for that;)

Jedi_Khanabout 4 years agoGood story, but needs an editor or two. I've likely said this before, and it's no less true now. I spotted a continuity error in this chapter among many other things that a second (or third) pair of eyes would catch. A computer is okay at editing, but not nearly as good as a human, especially one who isn't the author.
I know you've said there are trust issues regarding strangers, but that is something that could potentially be overcome. Perhaps try reaching out to some of your favorite authors here on Lit or anywhere else you post and ask if they have a recommendation for an editor?
I also know that with all my talk, you and others are probably thinking "Why don't you volunteer to be an editor then?" Yeah, I do have an eye for grammar and spelling, but I find no enjoyment in the task. Trust me, I've tried a few years ago. It quickly became a chore for me and I lost interest. It helps to find someone who actually enjoys editing and is good at it. I'm only good at it, and that's not good enough.
Anyways, the continuity error was in the med bay after healing Shazza. Nats is there at the start of the conversation, saying how she wished Kas was there as well. Then a few lines later, as Korsa and Shazza are heading towards the train, Nats is suddenly waiting for them there and Shazza is surprised by her presence, as if Nats hadn't just been with them a few minutes previously in the med bay.
Alright, enough of the (hopefully) constructive criticism. I'm looking forward to more. I'm curious as to how the crew is going to handle multiple ships at once when they eventually get around to building a fleet, especially since you've mentioned that you don't plan to wake the colonists to help fill the ranks.
