I nodded. "And then what did she say?"
"That I was a foolish boy who couldn't even close a vial properly, and that all the education she paid for was wasted on me. She then chased me out of her library, and that was that." Titus finished. He glanced at the two vials, then at me. "Obviously, I never had access to Leveria's blood. It was you who took it."
"Yes."
"And so...?" Titus asked, peering at me with keen interest.
I let out a long, slow breath. "Leveria Tiadoa was supposed to be the Dark Queen."
