Mom said that she wanted dad to take her fishing tomorrow and that she wanted them to go look at what changes had been made for the construction of the second cabin. She said they'd be leaving early and carrying along a lunch so they wouldn't have to hike back twice. I was expected to watch out for Barb, who probably would want to go to the falls again. I, of course, reluctantly agreed to serve as pack mule and guard for her majesty's pleasure for the day.
Dad turned on the generator for an hour later and I reminded her majesty to plug in her MP3 player to charge up for tomorrow. I extravagantly bowed and scraped until we all went to our beds for the night. I saw dad make a note on the whiteboard to take the empty gas cans to fill them on Friday in town. I felt much more relaxed mentally and much less tired physically when I got into bed and I didn't stay awake very long at all. This had been a very good day with plenty of quiet time for me.

ScottishTexanabout 2 years agoIt got a little bit too detailed at the end. I'm not usually bored by a detailed story. I actually enjoy more background for the characters. But for some reason the last few paragraphs bored me to tears. I think that you need to lean more towards the details that build your characters and less towards building the setting. 4/5
