As the song ended, Maria excused herself to use the bathroom leaving Beth standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. Another quick glance towards the door revealed Javier still standing in the opening. With a tilt of his head he motioned for Beth to join him. Inexplicably and without hesitation, Beth made her way across the room and into the office; Javier closed the door behind her.
