Rebirth of a Hero? Ch. 01

As a tall plump woman walked among other people, her amber eyes noticed a small figure ran into the road chasing a hat, before anyone can react she lunges forward and pulls the child out of the way she hears a woman scream thank you before something heavy smashes into the side of her head, as she falls and the sounds of people screaming and cars stopping fade she hears a voice whispering to her, "Come...To...Me...Chosen...One."

As she follows the voice, after what feels like an eternity she ends up in front of a plain white door, she opens in and walks into a brightly lit room with windows on all four walls giving views to amazing landscapes one with only floating islands and strange four winged birds with three legs flying about the islands.

Another window showed a mountain range with snow capped peaks with a volcano spewing forth lava while gigantic wings larger than the smaller mountains slowly open, the heat of the volcano melting the closest peaks.

A third window showed the view of a magical reef with strange fish and oddly shaped shark like alligators swimming about.

The final window revealed a vast desert with giant sand whales jumping and moving as if in water defending a small whale from three large octopus like creatures with the heads of parrots.

"Hello Nataly Anderson and welcome to the office of rebirth," an extremely beautiful androgenous human figure said to the blond woman as she walked in.

"What? Office of rebirth? I don't get it what happened after I pulled the kid off the road," Nataly asked as she stepped forward looking around the windows staring in aww at the windows.

"After you pulled the child to safety, the truck that was going to hit him drove past it's sideview mirror hit you in the head before you pulled away snapping your neck and ending your life, due to your actions throughout your life you've been given the chance at rebirth with three gifts of your choice," the androgenous person said as Nataly sat down looking slightly shocked.

"Oh ok, well this is a pretty big trend in anime now so I do have three choices which I thought about after watching a few different animes, also sorry if I'm rude but what are you and do you have a name?" Nataly asked the figure sitting across the desk.

"Yes, but you cannot know my true name without moving onto the celestial plane but you may call me the Advisor and as for what I am well that is something you may figure out later in life or in death," the Advisor said smiling in a calming manner.

"I see, well as for the wishes are there any that are not possible?" Nataly asked the advisor as she looked thoughtful about her choices.

"Thank you for asking," the advisor said as they pulled out a small scroll, "Please read this," the Advisor said as they handed it over to Nataly.

As Nataly read the scroll she giggled, "I'm guessing people tend to ask for a lot of infinite things," She asked the advisor, handing the scroll back.

"Yes, but no one being other than our creator has infinite power thus we cannot give such gifts like infinite mana or infinite cosmic power," the Advisor explained as Nataly noticed that she wasn't panicking or even thinking about the fact that she died.

"I just died how am I not fussing over it and why am I so calm?" Nataly asked the advisor.

"That is due to my presence, we found that it helps the souls of the dead to think better and plan effectively rather than panic and stress themselves," the advisor explained.

"I see, that is a smart idea," Nataly said as she sank into the chair and started to think, as the Advisor saw this they decided to remain silent to let Nataly think of her three choices.

"Question, does the world I'm going to have magic and if so what kind is it?" Nataly asked the Advisor.

"There is and it is a multi purpose type, you can do nearly anything with mana from infusing items to creating runes or making glyph in air for combat," the Advisor explained to Nataly.

"Ok and since I can't have unlimited mana can I have ten times then mana of the being with the most in that world? As well as ten times the regeneration or recovery of the being with the highest recovery or regeneration rate?" Nataly asked them.

The Advisor focused for a few moments then smiled, "Well played, it's not infinite but in that world you will be considered godlike when it comes to mana, not many have made request like that...It is granted," the advisor said as Nataly felt a sudden influx of power that made her moan with pleasure.

"Holy hell that felt good, I feel like I can do anything," Nataly said as she squirmed in her chair.

"As for my second one, could I have an infinitely growing home depending on how many live in it? But only I can access the door or give permission to access it and can it be placed within the space between dimensions or realms or whatever void space it is, so that it's never in danger of being broken into or attacked?" Nataly asked the advisor while calming down.

"Hmmm, a home within the void that grows as you gain followers or increase it's size at will that is entirely possible but what do you want in the home?" The advisor asked sounding a bit more animated.

"Ummm, a library with all the scientific and engineering knowledge of my previous world, a forge and lab for alchemy and smithing, a medical ward that can let me do anything no matter what it is such as surgery on anything to testing for a simple cold, a dungeon for prisoners and a sex dungeon for me and my partners that is connected to my personal room and the rest is basically an old mansion from my previous world, oh also can you make it so I can enter it from anywhere and everywhere?" Nataly explained as the Advisors face showed a small smile.

"Yes, that is a unique thing to ask for most just ask for castles or bases that are well defended your the first to ask for one inside the void between realms we have high hopes for you Nataly," the advisor said as they laughed lightly.

"Well maybe the third one won't be so surprising," Nataly said as she giggled then looked at the Advisor with determination.

"I would like the ability to draw people to me in all ways but dangerous or with negative intentions for example I go into a store and they feel the urge to lower their prices for me and another one is that I can make them my slave and when their my slave they have my mark on them proving it," Nataly said looking nervous.

"The ability to draw others to you and control them if you want is not something we can do it goes against free will and that is something we will not give you," the Advisor said in a dangerous tone.

Nataly shivered in fear and shook her head violently, "NO,NO,NO,NO,NO, I don't want to remove their free will it works around their free will if they truly don't want to then it won't work on them," she said quickly, hoping to appease the Advisor.

"Ah in that case it's possible, but for you to control it is unique may I ask why you wish to control the strength of the attraction?" The advisor asked tilting their head slightly.

"If I make it the opposite people will ignore me instead of noticing me thus allowing to go to any place in the world without being noticed or being the center of attention," Nataly explained.

The Advisor started to laugh, "You have surprised us once again, all three of your wishes fall just inside what's possible while doing multiple things if each one was an individual request you would have five," the advisor said while putting three orbs on the table between Nataly and the advisor, "As for going to this world you have three options, first you are born 20 years before the current time, the positive is that you will know the history and gain knowledge of the world the negative is that you have no control where or what class your born into thus possibly putting you into a negative spot. Second option is summoned, the positive is that you will be taught and treated like a hero by those you summon, the negative aspect is that you will be taught in a biased manner towards everything and becoming a fallen hero if you do not 'obey' the people who summon you. Final option is that your sent as is, the positive aspect you will be giving a magic item that you choose and customize to your specifications, the negative is that you will have no lead or aid what is your choice?" The Advisor explained while pointing to each orb.

"Before I chose can I ask one thing?" Nataly asked thinking of something to help her with her choice.

"Yes you may what is it you wish to know?" The Advisor said looking curious as to what Nataly wanted to know.

"In this world are their soulmates or something similar? I'm a polygamist and my view has always been that each person is like a puzzle piece they can have multiple other pieces around them all connected and I'm curious to how many I have in this world if any," Nataly said looking hopeful about the answer.

The Advisor looked surprised and started to focus, after a few moments the Advisor looked at Nataly, "Today is a new experience, you're the first person who has asked such a question to answer it you have nine possible soul mates from varying races and backgrounds in the new world may I ask why you wanted this answer?" The Advisor asked excitedly.

"If I chose option three can I appear in front of the one soul mate who is the most powerful out of all them?" Nataly asked looking hopeful.

The Advisor leaned back and started to laugh loudly, as they continued it started to gain an echo like sound making it seem as if many where laughing with them, "Yes you may, for letting us be amused by such a request we will grant it as a token of favor," the Advisor said, the moment the Advisor looked at Nataly, she thought she saw many faces but just as quick as it registered they vanished.

"I chose option three then, as for my item I wish to have a gun that can become any gun or cannon from my world, from a pistol to a massive cannon like the Schwerer Gustav and anything in between and also it needs to use my mana as ammunition," Nataly said smiling.

"So all weapons that use basic rifling, that can be done since it uses your mana as ammunition," the Advisor said as the third orb turned into a golden pistol that fit perfectly in Natalys grip before Nataly could say anything the room faded and she started to fall, "Goodluck on your journey," Nataly heard as she fell screaming into darkness.

After a few moments lights appeared around her and she looked around in shock at the beauty of appeared to be stars the galaxies and various nebulae, she looked down in shock as her feat started to turn to dust then her legs and torso once her head started to turn into dust she felt the falling sensation stop, she dropped to her knees and groaned in pain as she lifted her head she looked to her left and saw a group of various races staring at her shock all ready for combat she then looked to her right and saw a giant maw filled with teeth open as a deafening roar blasted to her knocking her onto her back side, she screamed while flinging her arms in front of her face, "DON'T EAT ME," as loud as she could, the mouth closed revealing a giant dragons head adorned with three rows of Horns the outer ones making an ornate crown like circlet while the second row gave the appearance of spikes and the final center row held a prismatic jewel.

"Human how did you invade my sanctum," a deep, powerful and feminine voice said.

Nataly looked up the dragon and said in fear, "I was reborn from another world."
