Rebirth of a Hero? Ch. 04

As everyone was cheering Vivian was breathing heavily and looked back to say thank you to Nataly but gasped and yelled, "Get me a stretcher now," as she knelt beside Nataly's unconscious form.

As Nataly rested in the hospital bed Val was sitting beside while Navia and Vivian spoke to Chessie, "When she collapsed we lost our connection to her but not each other so we have been learning about each other a lot," Vivian said as she looked to the window where Teresa the white diapede has only three segments inside.

"And if things look good you plan to get together?" Chessie asked as she sat in a chair with her walker nearby and freshly molted Lily in another window, "Looks like my children are finally finding their ways in life and if you can put up with Teresa tendencies then by all means join each other in union," Chessie said as Lily's feelers brushed her back.

Before Vivian could say anything Nataly groaned and tried to sit up but was held down by Val, "Lay down you spent ALL your mana on that spell," Val explained while Nataly nodded and held her head as a massive migraine drilled into it.

"I see, remind me to never over use mana then," Nataly said as Vivian held her hands above Nataly and started to heal her head, Teresa also put her feelers above Nataly and healed her as well.

"Normally people don't recover from overusing their mana," Val said dangerously, "It tends to be lethal everyone here is surprised to see that you're alive," Val said as she gently petted Natalys head.

"Dear may I ask a favor of you?" Chessie said as she walked closer to Nataly.

Nataly opened her eyes and groaned but kept them open and focused on Chessie asked, "I'll listen, but may I ask why your asking me a favor?"

"You joining Lily in the soul ocean has helped her start to evolve into an ancient diapede and I hope she can join you and become one," Chessie said as she looked into Natalys eyes.

"I would love to have her help but I can't guarantee her safety while traveling with me," Nataly said as Vivain and Teresa backed away from Nataly.

"That I understand after seeing what your capable of, but I also know that she will be able to help you to complete your fated quest," Chessie said watching Nataly sit up and rub her temples.

"Fated quest?" Nataly asked while waiting for the world to stop spinning.

"You're not of this world, which is clear by your capabilities and magic weapon," Chessie said much to Natalys shock.

"I doubt it's going to be a secret for much longer is it," Nataly sighed and dropped her head, "It's going to be annoying to stay neutral."

"With what the world is facing you will be needed by many. But this is also a chance to unite everyone," Chessie said seriously as everyone paid close attention.

"I see and maybe I will but won't you miss Lily?" Nataly asked as Lily started to gently hold Chessie.

"I'm going to die soon and I have done so much in my life and had so many children and had the greatest love of my life so I have no worries or regrets, just one hope," Chessie said as she sighed and leaned into Lily's feelers.

"I see and we won't leave for some time, I want to study in the library for a bit and maybe handle some requests," Nataly said as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and slowly stood with Val and Vivians help.

"I see. That helps me feel better," Chessie said as she also stood and gently hugged Nataly, "Thank you for this," Chessie whispered into Nataly's ear.

"You're welcome," Nataly said as she steadied herself and tried to walked to the door.

Everyone smiled and moved out of the way and followed Nataly as she exited the building, Nataly froze when the whole town cheered Nataly, "What is this for?" Nataly said as Vivian, Nadia, Chessie and Val smiled as Nataly looked around.

"Everyone knows you supplied the mana and if it wasn't for you and your weapon this town would have been destroyed," Nadia said as she patted Nataly shoulder.

"Oh jeez why do I feel like I'm going to trade this headache for a hangover," Nataly mumbled as Navia burst out into laughter, Val took Natalys hand and brought her into the hospital and kissed her.

"Before we celebrate we should go home for a bit and if Lily is joining us you need to bring her in," Val said looking outside seeing Lily hanging on the roofs, Teresa was behind Vivian and was using her feeler to playfully tickle Vivian.

"True. Plus I would like to see if there's anyway to help your wing," Nataly said gently looking at the protrusion that looked larger than before.

"I'll be fine in a few sun cycles," Val said as she followed Nataly out the door.

"Navia where is your dad and mom?" Nataly asked not seeing the massive Diapede anywhere nearby.

"Dad took mom home, let me take you there," Navia said as she started to walk, trying to get through the celebrating city.

After moving through the crowd and turning some corners they came upon an oddly shaped house, to the side it looked like a garage without a door and Nataly guessed why it was like that when a massive yellowish purple diapede was wrapped up inside with its head in the roof area.

"Hey dad. Hey mom," Navia said as she walked into the opening and up the stairs attached to the right wall, Nataly and Val followed her as they came into view of a large couch where Lily's head was resting on the couch with Chessie laying her back between Lily's feelers as they rubbed her arms and legs gently.

"Hello darling, I'm guessing you brought them here for something?" Chessie asked as Navia sat down on a chair nearby.

"Yes I asked Navia to bring me here," Nataly said as she stepped closer to Lily and Chessie.

"What is it you wish to ask of me?" Lily said as she lifted her head up after gently moving Chessie into a different position.

"I have a magical home that only me and Val can access, if you are to join us I'll need to let you in and give you a room or stall depending on what you want," Nataly said as she walked over to a wall and turned around and asked, "Comfy room or large outdoor range?"

Lily tilted her head to the side and clicked slowly then said out loud, "Outdoor range, rooms tend to be stuffy and small."

Nataly nodded them grabbed and pulled to the side revealing a large garage like room with stables to the side, "Come inside," Nataly said as she held the door open.

Lily picked up Chessie and crawled in quickly while Val and Navia entered as well, as Lily crawled in the room expanded to fit her inside causing Navia and Chessie to stare in shock.

Once Lily was fully in Nataly entered and closed the door, then she walked to the very first stall and looked in then closed the door and looked up at Lily and asked, "Can you place your head against me and picture the most comfortable location for you?"

As Lily started to do as Nataly asked Nataly poured mana into the door causing it to glow slightly, after ten minutes Lily pulled back and caught Nataly as she stumbled, "Thank you Lily, I didn't think it would take that much effort to create such a large space."

"Wasn't that stall tiny?" Lily asked as Nataly stood and opened the door revealing a massive cave with glowing crystals everywhere and a small but quick stream running around the back of the room, "Everyone please get on my back."

As everyone finished climbing on lily slowly moved forward through the long cave taking only two turns before coming out on a ledge half way up a mountain, everyone stared in awe at the wonderful view in front of them.

Down the slope of the mountain was a large field filled with a tall, sweet, grass like plant that smelled of fruits, and in the distance was a deep, dark pine forest with various colors of brown and red. A small waterfall fell from the cave and fed into a large pond that overflowed into the nearby field.

"I can see the limit of the range but it's still very, very big," Lily said as she let everyone off and quickly hurried into the grass hiding within it, She exploded into the forest and disappeared from sight, then everyone laughed as she climbed up the wall behind the forest and into the sky where her shadow covered everywhere when she passed the makeshift sun.

"Hey Lily, what is your favorite prey to hunt?" Nataly asked as she felt her mana recover.

Lily went from sky to just above the cave entrance and surrounded everyone as she answered giddily, "Tusked rabbits, fox snakes, weasel shrimps and jumping squirrels, why do you ask?" Lily asked while her feelers twitched and moved about in excitement.

"Okay then watch this," Nataly said as she held out her hand and started to mumble under her breath, everyone laughed as various animals started to pop into existence within the space.

First to appear was small rabbit like creatures with large tusks and fangs from its mouth.

Second to appear was a fox like creature with an extremely long body with six legs instead of four, it also had a large fluffy and fox shaped head.

Third to appear with a was a weasel with six pairs of small legs and two large club like appendages in the front and a large beaver tail covered in fur.

The final one to appear was a creature that looked like a mix of squirrel and kangaroo, it had the upper body and tail of a squirrel while having the hips and legs of a kangaroo.

Lily squealed in happiness and snatched a few random animals from the air as they fell, and once the animals stopped falling Nataly fell on her butt and exhaled loudly, "Jeez bringing in so many small animals is annoying."

"Thank you so much Nataly," Lily said as she rubbed her feelers all over Nataly tickling her, "So much food I can't wait to eat all of them," Lily said as he started to go down the mountain.

"LILY WAIT," Nataly yelled to stop Lily.

Lily stopped and looked up at Nataly and asked, "Why?"

"Let them set up an ecosystem so there's a balance and stability. That way you can eat them forever and not just all of them at once," Nataly said trying to explain that she did this so she wouldn't have to summon them again.

"Oh okay," Lily said sounding slightly sad, "let's go back in ok," Lily said as walked in with everyone following her, once inside Lily noticed that a perfect alcove was set for her and she crawled in and set herself into, Nataly looked surprised as Lily's color shifted to match the blueish greyish color of the stones around her.

Lily moved out and sighed happily, "This place is perfect for me."

"That's the point of this space, it's created to match your needs perfectly," Nataly explained as she walked to the stall door that stuck out from everything around it.

"Thank you for giving her a wonderful home," Chessie said as she walked out the stall door and into the garage.

"It's my pleasure seeing as she wants to join me, but I'm curious as to why," Nataly asked as Lily came into the garage as well.

"When we first met you exuded an aura of want and need and you also gave me the ability to speak to everyone I love as well," Lily explained as she leaned in close to Nataly and used her feelers to rub her down.

"I'm sorry about that, I thought you wanted to eat us or something so I used one of my abilities to try and make you friendly to us," Nataly said as Navia and Chessie both looked confused, "Umm, I have three powerful abilities, One is this house. The second is my insane amount of mana. The third one is an ability that attracts others in various degrees, for example I can make people worship me without them realising it," Nataly said looking nervous at revealing them to Navia and Chessie.

Chessie simply smiled and nodded while Navia shook her head and said doubtfully, "I doubt that very much. No one has such abilities."

"Val can you cover Chessies view of me and Lily please look away," Nataly asked as Lily covered her head and Chessie with her body Val giggled and stood by ready to watch Navia. Nataly turned up her attraction slowly and steadily, "Are you sure no one has such an ability?" Nataly asked as Navias smug looked faded away.

"You tried this before at the guild hall, Magic won't work on me," Navia said nervously as the pendant lit the room up with a pink glow.

"I know but this isn't magic, don't you feel it? Smell it? Hear it?" Nataly whispered the last words as Navia started to hear a chittering in her mind and strong smell of pheromones started to affect her.

"No I don't," Navia stuttered as she blinked hard and tried to resist.

"Come to me Navia," Nataly said as she leaned back against the wall.

Navia walked closer and stopped in front of her and looked up, "Yes?" Navia asked before stepping back in shock from realising she moved forward without meaning to.

As the attraction continued to increase Nataly leaned in close and whispered into Navias ear, "Kneel before me."

Navia fell to her knees as the pendant turned from pink to white as Nataly's power reached its maximum power. Navia had a blank look of utter adoration on her face, Nataly said in a commanding tone, "Do not think or speak, clear your mind," as Nataly finished speaking Navia face went blank as her eyes dulled.

Nataly leaned in and kissed Navias forehead as she turned off her ability and stood up, Navia eyes brightened and looked panicked as she stood up and backed away quickly and stayed silent while looking terrified.

"If she wanted, Nataly could do anything and have anything she wanted by walking around with that power of hers at max," Val said as she gently comforted Navia.

"How do you counter that power?" Navia asked nervously.

"By swearing fealty and eternal servitude," Nataly said sadly.

Navia shuddered and stood up, "That power is evil," but before she could finish anything Val gently hushed her by covering her mouth with one finger.

"Nataly knows that, but when you do swear fealty to her you become immune to its effects. She cannot order you to do anything that you don't want to," Val explained to Navia as Lily and Chessie both looked on and watched quietly.

"How do you know?" Navia asked Val.

Val lowered her top revealing her breast and showing everyone an odd symbol that rested above her heart, "This is the symbol and I don't regret it nor will I. Nataly is beautiful and a just person who does her best to help everyone she can. Look at what she did in defense or Blostreak," Val said as she fixed her top.

"I guess you're right," Navia said as she looked at Nataly and bowed her head slightly, "I'm sorry for my reaction."

"It's ok, I expected as much," Nataly said as she walked over and hugged Navia, "I'm sorry for putting you through that, but we both know that you wouldn't believe me without experiencing it."

"Sadly your right," Navia said as she hugged Navia back.

Nataly pulled away and smiled, "Want a drink?" Nataly asked as she walked to the door and opened it.

Everyone nodded, including Lily, as they walked out of the door Nataly noticed the stairs seem to widen as Lily walked closer to them.

Navia and Chessie started in awe at the various decorations and appliances they had never seen before.

"What are those?" Navia asked as she spotted the kitchen appliances.

"I'm not going to bother explaining everything again," Nataly said as she put her hand to Chessies and Navias forehead and focused as she gently put information infused mana into their minds, instantly giving them basic information on everything.

"You truly come from a different world don't you," Chessie asked as she gleamed in excitement in awe.

"Yup now sit down in there," Nataly said as she pointed to the living room, as she watched them follow Val into it, Nataly watched in curiosity as Lily's long body slowly disappeared in the door.

Nataly went into the kitchen and retrieved glasses of juice for everyone and a bowl of juice for Lily, as she walked in she tried to stifle a giggle as she watched Navia sprawl out on the circular chaise lounge, Chessie was gently rocking on the lazy boy rocking chair, Lily was resting her head on the couch as her body sat in the extended back wall, "I've brought drinks everyone," Nataly said.

Everyone looked to Nataly as she handed out drinks and placed a large bowl in front of Lily and watched as Lily's tongue slid out and started to gently suck in the juice, everyone but Val hummed in pleasure at the taste.

"It's called fruit punch, it doesn't exist in this world," Nataly said as she sat down beside Val and started to drink.

"It's delicious, thank you," Navia said.

"I can't wait to get more," Lily said.

"It's great but I'm curious, what your plans are Nataly," Chessie asked as she sipped her juice lightly.

"Well after seeing the horde and not knowing what they plan I'm probably going to try and stop them," Nataly said remembering what Val taught her about the horde.

"That would be nice but which kingdom will you side with?" Chessie asked.

"None, I'm hoping to remain neutral between all kingdoms while becoming their allies. Also gaining some friends who can help me to fight the horde and bring down their leader," Nataly said hopefully while sipping her punch.

"Gaining allies for battle is easily done, I'll give you a letter that could help you gain some allies and will give you access to the courtrooms in all the Capitals," Chessie said while smiling at the delicious drink she never had before.

"Seriously!?" Nataly said in shock.

"Well yes, before I retired I was a rank S adventurer. I've been to all the large palaces in Amairaedia and most beastfolk villages as well," Chessie said as she finished her drink.

"Then I'll accept your help and is there anything else you would like to tell me before we go?" Nataly asked as she took the empty glasses and bowl and put them off to the side.

"Actually yes, I'd like to explain how Lily breeds with humans in hopes you're not scared of it," Chessie said as she giggles and Navia blushed.

"Umm, can I leave before this gets weird for me?" Navia asked as Chessie giggled at her daughters embarrassment.

"I'll never understand your embarrassment or shame," Lily said while staring at Navia.

"Come here I'll save you," Val laughed as she stood and offered her hand to Navia.

"Thank the divines," Navia said blushing slightly as she took Vals hand and followed her the front door where it led to Chessies house, "I'll get things set up for you and Nataly to travel without hindrance," Navia said as she walked through the door.

"That would be appreciated Navia and thank you for everything that you've done for us," Val said before she closed the door and walked back to find Nataly and Chessie holding hands.

"Hey Val, Chessie asked me to give her some mana to help her show me how Lily has sex with people," Nataly said looking confused and hesitant but still gave mana to Chessie.

"Thank you, I greatly appreciate this," Chessie said giving Lily a deep and loving look that Lily returned with just as much emotion.

"It's my pleasure since you're doing this in the hope of helping me feel comfortable with Lily in that manner," Nataly said as she glanced between them.

Val sat down beside Nataly as she watched in awe as Chessie accepted the mana and seemingly grew younger, Chessies skin smoothed out and darkened while her hair grew longer and turned from diamond silver to a deep crimson, she stood up straighter as she sighed from the aches of age disappearing, "I've missed my youth, how long do you think this will last Nataly?" Chessie said as she turned and stretched her temporarily young body.

"I've put a fair bit into you," Nataly said thinking then she looked up and said "A few days at most."

"Perfect and do you mind if we do it here?" Chessie asked as she walked towards Lily while unraveling her dress to let it fall, once it did she stepped out of the ring of clothes and onto Lily's belly.

"Go for it I'll watch from here," Nataly said as she sat back while curiously watching.
