"So how does this work?" Nataly asked.

"First you put mana into the blade and give it some kind of trait. For example, make it sharper or more durable, you could even add a trait that makes it return to it's owner," Duna explained as she watched Nataly focus.

Nataly watched the blade as she poured mana into it hoping to make it sharper. As she felt the mana flowing from her,the blade began to bend randomly and then explode sending shards in various directions. Duna held her hands out blocking her face and Nataly groaned as she pulled a large one out of her shoulder, "Note to self get some protection before experimenting."

Duna groaned and pulled a sliver out of her palm, "Be thankful that we did not get severely injured," She said as she dumped the daggers on the table and put the box upside down on the edge, "Next time use this please."

Nataly looked at her shoulder as she focused on healing herself, once she healed she grabbed another dagger and put it into the box, this time she did it slowly.

Val stood to the side as a few craftsmen were working on four Rasque plates fusing them together to make the floor of the wagon, "That should do it, now we take six more plates and cut them in half for the side walls," Val said.

Four people each grabbed a corner and brought the plate to Val where she measured it and cut it in half, along it's length with her sharp tail blade. Each pair of men picked up a half and brought it to the side, where two enchanters bent down and used their magic to melt and fuse the pieces together.

Val cut two more and walked over to the tanners that were preparing the hide by drying it with fire magic. Val watched as the hide smoked lightly, once they were done they brought it to the base of the cart where they have lined up six ribs, two on each end jutting forward and four close together in the center.

"Do you need help getting the hide over the ribs?" Val asked as she spread her newly healed wings.

"No need for that but thank you for the offer," Hugo said as three people including him rolled the hide up, they stood near the ribs and heaved it over their heads backwards throwing it up and over the ribs.

The hide snapped out as the roll undid itself, Hugo and his men tucked in the hide between the bones and the plates on both sides. Four enchanters worked on fusing the bones to the cart and the hide to the bone. Val nodded as she realised it took from morning to midday to finish the main part, "It looks like it's going to be done tomorrow," Val said smiling.

"Nope, it'll be three more days but with your help for the hardest part you cut the work down by half." Hugo said as he looked over the tight cover trying to find any weakness.

"Well in that case your welcome," Val said as she walked around and looked over the brown pebbly reptilian skin. "Now what about the front and back hatch that Nataly wanted that was meant to protect the occupants," Val asked as she walked around to the back area.

"We will have to measure and cut it, as for sealing it we will curve it slightly and let the weight of the plate keep itself down. Maybe add two hoops for small ropes to tie it down in rough winds," Hugo explained as he put his head into it and looked at the roof and sides, then brought out his measurement rope and wrote down the numbers.

"One plate should be enough for both ends," Hugo said as he took measurements and smiled, "Just enough, Val please cut where the lines are."

Val nodded and used her tail to slowly cut into the plate slowly making two large ovals, Hugo and some helpers brought it over as the enchanters sighed and quickly drank a blue potion.

They fuzed a large hinge made of bones to the top of the ceiling and the top of the oval plate letting it close and open easily enough. They attached three metal hoops into the bottom of the plate by screwing them in.

Hugo put another hoop into the roof so the plate could be tied open and two in the base to tie it closed. They repeated the process for the front where a bench has been lined up waiting to be built onto the Rasque cart.

As more parts came in including wood for the wheel and axles Hugo looked at Val, "Now we start the long and slow process of building." Hugo started to organize everything as some carts came in and took away all the extra elder Rasque parts.

"Their in Natalys home," Val said then pointed to the cart that was being assembled slowly, "We leave in a few days, Nataly asked them to build a wagon out of the elder rasque we brought in. Bring me to your party and I'll bring you guys into the house so we can set up some rooms for you guys."

Malarick let out a breath and relaxed, "Thank you for telling me and come with me where at the inn," Malarick started to walk away leading Val out.

As they neared the inn Val saw Gantua facing a window and giggling at something she saw, she turned and spotted Malarick and Val and said something into the window. Garvin and Frund appeared in the window and waved, "Seems everyones done packing, I've packed me and Dunas stuff as well," Malarick said as they walked up to Gantua who lowered Frund and Garvin along with various bags.

"Where's Duna?" Frund asked?

"She's with Nataly right now and since we plan to travel together I'll bring you guys into the house," Val said as she held out her hand to Malarick who looked back and nodded. Gantua looked nervous as Val walked into the door and closed her eyes expecting to hit something.

Gantua opened her eyes after hearing a click and looked around in surprise as the room around her grew to her proportions, "Please take your footwear off and leave it beside the door," Val said as she slipped off her slippers.

"I expected not to fit in here," Gantua said looking relieved as she walked forward and the hallway around her expanded in front of her and shrunk again a few steps behind her, "Okay I like this but it's weird how the building moves around me," Gantua said as she stepped into the living room and the ceiling grew taller.

Val watched as one of the chairs grew to accommodate Gantua who then sat down and sighed in pleasure, "It's been too long since I had an actual chair to sit in."

Val then said to everyone, "I'll go get Nataly since she's the only one who can make rooms, would you like to join me or stay here?"

Malarick stepped forward, "I'll join you," he said as Garvin and Frund sat down on the couch.

"Follow me," Val said as she led him to the stairs and listened, Val heard Nataly sigh downstairs and led Malarick downstairs, as they went closer to the door they both heard Nataly cheer and Duna laugh lightly.

Val opened the door as Nataly and Duna looked up to see who came in, "I finally did it Val," Nataly yelled as she tackled Val in a hug, Malarick smiled and moved around them and walked to Duna.

"I gave it increased sharpness, durability and mending. It'll fix itself so long as the wielder provides mana, if mana is giving it can cut through a lot more than normal daggers," Nataly explained as Duna tested the blade by pressing it to one of the mangled daggers that had increased durability.

Shall we go and see everyone else?" Duna asked as she walked out the door.
