How could Gabe want to ask her out? Her eyes were red, dark shadows and bags under them making her look haggard. She had no make up. Her skin was pale and her hair looked as if it hadn't been brushed in days.
She tried to smooth it with her hands, but it didn't do much good. All she could so was rinse her face with cold water and then run her wet hands over her hair, hoping it would smooth it down. Then she left the bathroom. Campbell was leaning against the wall across from the door, a icy cold bottle of water in his hand.
He handed it to her and then took her elbow, escorting her back into the bull pen. He winked at her as she sat in her chair, picking up her book once more to pretend to read.

Anonymousover 8 years agoThank goodness Gabe and Kaylee are alive, and that Gabe is working hard on the case. Something tells me Gabe might be "hard" in another way too, and shows some attraction to Kaylee. It would be good for them to get together, even if they cuddle in his apartment. I'm sure Gabe will have some chest hair she can touch and stroke, as he seems a very masculine man. A description of them at his apartment when he is walking around shirtless would be sexy! Keep the good story going!
