Rise of Roxy Ch. 01

"Oh she never married and that's why my mom came to hate her because mom was illegitimate."

Sophie thought she'd gone too far.

"Oh darling," she said, hugging Roxy, 'You must think I'm horrible prying like this."

"No you are interested in my background. Actually I think it's an exciting story."

"What your mother being an illegitimate baby?"

"Oh that too. No that the extended family was so much against gran but they were so ignorant they couldn't see for what she was, a very beautiful lady with heaps of talent... Gran was a star. She was even very attractive to the time of her death."

"You still haven't told me what this gran did?"

"She was an actress and took to the stage professionally when she was just sixteen."

"Oh and what was gran's stage name?"

"She always used her real name, Kitty McCleary. I have two books about her and some old movie clips of her on stage when she was about your age prior to retirement when she was hospitalized following a road accident that left her crippled."

Already tense, Sophie excused herself but instead of going to the toilet went to her bedroom and booted her laptop. A quick search of the name 'Kitty McCleary' produced what she wanted. The photos showed a vague family likeness with Roxy, she was beautiful, there was a reference to an illegitimate daughter when she was thirty-two and she'd being the main lead in several well-known theatrical touring companies from the late 1930s to the mid-1950s when her career ended after she was left crippled as one of three survivors of a horrific bus crash into a ravine during a rain storm.

Sophie returned to the kitchen and calmly began telling her life story to Roxy.

Later in bed, Sophie enjoyed being banged twice.

"God what's got into you tonight?" she asked, thinking the sight of Roxy must have aroused him.

"You in dressing like that this evening instead of looking as if you had just come in from gardening. When I arrived home and saw the new sexy you I would have carted you off to the bedroom except you had reminded me our house guest had arrived."

"Oh darling, I can still please you?"

Sophie please take a look at most woman your age. In comparison with the majority, you are a star. Of course you do have the best mix of American-Italian in you."

"Oh darling, would you like to go again?"

"Er I'll take a rain check on that."

When Sophie returned from the bathroom she found the light still on and Robert was sitting up in bed.

She looked at him in surprise and he said he had the feeling she was bursting to tell him something.

"Yes," she said, snuggling up to him. "I knew very little about Roxy before inviting her here but I sensed I was someone who could help her."

"You always have had that instinct and it's not what people call the mothering instinct."

"Thank you darling and we know you have been a beneficiary because it was I who steered you into TV."

"So what's up with Roxy?"

"This is really about what she told me tonight. I'm just bursting to tell you."

"Oh-oh."

"Please Robert, hear me out before you think of closing the shutters."

Sophie began by sketching in Roxy's arrival at the law firm and how in just days she rose from bottom-placed office assistant to one of the partner's PA simply because she appealed to him sexually.

"Jerry Truman?"

"Yes," Sophie said in surprise.

"I've picked him out at your office parties I've attended as the only lecher amongst the senior guys."

"So it takes one to recognized one?" Sophie said, and yelped as Robert squeezed the nipple of the breast he was cupping.

She continued and he listened quietly until she finished and then said, "Jesus what a story. So now you want the screen test?"

"Yes as soon as you can arrange it. I'll take time off work. Look people will have to be manipulated to get Roxy into TV work with no academic qualification but if we can get her toe in, people at the studio will be conditioned to recognizing talent when they see it."

"If Roxy has the talent, you think she'll deliver?"

"Absolutely."

"So what do you suggest my darling who loves to fuck?"

"Test her for a possible relief weather presenter. Roxy can read and she speaks beautifully when she tries."

"Are you kidding? I thought you would be pushing for a role in a stage production... or a guest in a running production?"

"Let's be clever darling and think a toehold. If she gets to read the weather and viewers phone or email in wanting more of Roxy then guess what?"

"Darling you won't like me saying this but I must. It does happen and in every TV station with even a half-decent production department a star is born that way, but I have to say that occurs roughly once in a decade."

"What for all TV stations collectively our just for Channel 8?"

"Um I have no idea because it's so rare but let's say just for Channel 8."

"Okay when was Channel 8's last star born?"

"Six years ago, Lisa Kelly who's now a big shot on TV in Toronto, Canada, running a prime time show."

"Well then, let it rip and say so-what to mathematical theory."

Robert yawned and said Sophie licked his ear and whispered, "Okay and to show my appreciation, if Roxy becomes the regular relief weather reader for four weeks you and I can celebrate with butt sex."

Robert grinned and asked could she remember how to butt fuck and she countered by saying could he?

"Jump on me baby and ride me hard."

Sophie finally rolled off him, stuffed a towel between her legs and was practically wheezing. Sex three times in one night? Omigod, they were turning back the clock in a really big way
