When she woke, Ruby felt perfectly warm, perfectly awake and the world seemed scrubbed clean. Fay was kissing her stomach. "Better?" she whispered and it was perfectly loud.
"That was intense," Ruby croaked. "Am I dead?"
Fay grinned and kept right on kissing. On Ruby's stomach, under her lover's kisses, nothing. No navel. Ruby stroked the space. "Ha," she said. "Not dead, reborn eh?"
"Check out your eyes," Fay said, rummaged by the bed and pulled out the remote. She gave it to Ruby. There were no buttons on it, completely blank.
Ruby shrugged and pointed at the screen, a picture appeared. Two beautiful women, naked on a white bed. One with golden hair, the other, red. Both with huge jet-black eyes. The red haired one smiled.
"Who shall we watch today?" she said.
