Rudy chuckled. "You don't know the half of it. Anyway, I appreciate that you at least gave it a try. You can collect on that toe-job any time you want."
"Well, you sure gave me a lot to think about." Sandy stated. "Listen, I've got some errands to run, but I'll call you later, okay?"
"Okay, I'll be here."
Once he'd hung up, Sandy stood by her car and tried to make sense of what had happened inside the coffee shop. She was still going over it in her head, when she drove off a few minutes later.
