Swish gave a little bark.
"No kidding! We were just heading there ourselves!"
"It's really important," the violet-haired fairy said. Her voice vibrated like someone was rapping on her back from the constant motions created as she hovered above Swish's head. "There's a real problem here. We're hoping we can help."
Swish barked.
"Yeah?" The frizzy-haired one landed right on Swish's bark (Swish fought the urge to sneeze). "Well, those bullies haven't found her yet. We won't screw with the truce, but we won't leave her helpless for them, either."
"And as for that hypnotist..." The violet-haired fairy cracked her knuckles, eliciting minute pops. "I'd like to give him a piece of my mind. Especially if that piece were sharp and made of metal. And I could put it in his mind."
"We can't risk losing anyone else," the black-haired one said. "Lapis is still caught."
"I hope she's alright," the fair one muttered. "If she's not..."
Swish barked.
"I hope you're right, Swish." The fair one was the last to take to the air as they zoomed back on course, straight towards the camp. "I hope you're right."

Goblin's Note: WOW that turned out longer than I expected. I kinda like this length, though. I prefer my chapters to be about two pages—much more convenient to read!
As you've probably noticed, Shifty Characters is a bit more focused on plot than most of my stories. That said, there's still plenty of erotic encounters, and more on the way!
Next up: Larya meets the fairies, Swish runs into trouble, and Balabar runs into Mier.
