The first time Johnnie met Shula was the day he went to the Yorkshire office to look over his late thirties with strong aquiline features. ‘Wilt thou take Jesus Christ as thy only husband, to love and to cherish, and to obey no other whilst you do live. To join him in holy wedlock until death reunites you in his Kingdom of Heaven?’
